2018 Underclass Games - Quick Hits
August 15, 2018
We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Ontario's 2018 Scout Day: Ottawa Knights. This was a great opportunity for 2020-2021 prospects to be identified before season, create and update their profiles, as well see where they stack up with their peers. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase and below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories.

PBR Ontario's 2018 Underclass Games - Quick Hits
We recently saw players from the 2019 - 2021 class come out and showcase their tools on a beautiful Thursday at Dan Lang field. Players were run through your typical showcase workout and a lot of players showed strong performances near the end of their seasons.
We give a quick look at some of the players that grabbed our attention this past Thursday and some young players to continue to follow and track their development.
The Arms
Andrew Bench RHP / C / E.L Crossley, ON / 2020Report: Many players made a strong impression on the hill this past Thursday, and we start with one of the young arms in 2020 right-hander Andrew Bench (Full Circuit Power). A presence on the mound, the 6-foot-2, 205-pound righty passes the eye test while he repeated his delivery with ease to compliment a clean arm action. Fastball worked 78-84 and he moved well on the mound with feel and control throughout. He did lack some drive out of his lower half which could lead to a higher velocity on his fastball when in sync. He was able to throw his curveball and changeup for strikes while keeping the arm speed the same as his fastball. |
