Scott Hood
Oklahoma State Director

Prep Baseball Oklahoma is proud to announce the inagural roster for the first ever Super Sophomore Games taking place in Kansas City this weekend.  The prospects from all across the state will take part in a pro-style workout on Saturday morning before we begin the gameplay on the weekend.  Saturday night, Team Oklahoma will take on Team Nebraska at 4:30 followed by a 9:30 am game against Team Missouri and wrapping up the weekend against Team Arkansas at 12:00 pm.  We will be providing plenty of social media coverage from throughout the weekend as well as games being live streamed at this LINK.

We dive into all 15 prospects ahead of tomorrow's event with notes and videos on each down below.

Barrett Standley OF / RHP / Bixby, OK / 2027

Standley joins Team OK as the current top ranked player in the class coming off a strong spring in the middle of the Bixby lineup as a freshman.  The switch-hitter has proven himself to be able to handle some of the state's best arms from both sides of the plate and will also show off his arm strength on the mound this weekend.

Landon Schmidt OF / RHP / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2027

Schmidt was placed right in the middle of one of the more potent offenses in Edmond Memorial and the freshman did not dissapoint.  Schmidt has one of the higher ceilings in the class with true future power potential as well as an advanced run tool that saw him turn in a 60 earlier this summer at the 6.60 mark.  His hand strength and speed makes him one of the more intriguing prospects to follow in the coming years.

Wade Webb OF / 3B / Mount St Mary's, OK / 2027

Webb always seems to impress when we see him with one of the more unique bat to ball skills in the class.  A consistent barrel finder at the plate, the right handed hitter has reached exit velocities up to 94.6 in the past thanks to advanced bat speed.  A strong runner with a 6.92 60 time under his belt, Webb can also show some positional versatility being able to play in the infield dirt as well as in the outfield making him a valuable asset headed into the future.

Maxon Gipson OF / RHP / Cascia Hall, OK / 2027

Gipson is another prospect headed to Kansas City that is one of the more consistent "ball players" that we've seen in the 2027 class.  He always seems to make an impact on the game with his current gap to gap power or his ability to make plays in both the outfield and in the infield.  Gipson uses an unorthodox swing at the plate but shows some barrel accuracy with advanced strength for the class with exit velocities up to 93.5 in the past and can even flash a run tool at 6.92.

Tristan Tomlin OF / RHP / Deer Creek, OK / 2027

Tomlin joins Team OK as one of the higher ceiling prospects in the class thanks to his already physical frame of 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds.  He has consistently made jumps each time we see him with the arm strength playing up from the outfield up to 87 mph and present gap power.  When Tomlin is able to tap into his leverage at the plate, the ball jumps off the barrel and he will also flash you some plus speed with a previous 6.82 60 time in the past.

Keon Young OF / RHP / Enid , OK / 2027

Keon Young joins the OK squad as one of the more projectable two-way prospects in the class with high-end potential on both sides of the ball.  This past spring, Young was thrust into the Enid lineup as a freshman and showed some power potential as well as athleticism in the outfield.   Where his ceiling might be the highest is on the mound where reports of him this summer have been the velocity has taken a pretty big jump and could very easily be the top power arm coming out of the '27 class in the Sooner State.

Koen Isaacson SS / 2B / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2027

Isaacson showed big promise this past fall at our Top Prospect Underclass Games where the switch hitting abilities shined.  Isaacson showed exit velocities reaching up to 92.7 mph and turned in one of the better 60 times from the event at 6.85.  He has strong defensive actions up the middle that should keep him there moving forward in the future and has potential as a middle of the order bat.

Jaxon Adcock SS / RHP / Cameron, OK / 2027

Adcock is another highly projectable 2-way prospect coming from the east side of the state standing at 6-foot-3 and 163 pounds.  On the mound, Adock is already working the fastball in the mid 80's with feel for a firm mid 70's breaking ball that should continue to see jumps as he adds strength.  Offensively, he uses a levered swing that can help him lift balls through the gaps presently and shows strong defensive actions up the middle.

Cole Bray RHP / SS / Skiatook, OK / 2027

Bray had a strong freshman campaign for Skiatook both on the mound and handling short stop and middle of the order duties.  He parlayed the strong spring into the summer where he continues to impress with our looks at him on both sides of the ball.  The right-hander is working the fastball in the mid 80's and showing strong feel for landing the breaking ball in the zone and collecting swings and misses.  At the plate, he has shown the ability to drive the ball with advanced hand strength reaching exit velocities as high as 93.1 mph in the past.  His two-way abilities will continue to be a strong asset for him moving forward and will be an intriguing follow in the coming years.

Peyton Kilhoffer 3B / RHP / Dewar High School, OK / 2027

Kilhoffer has one of the more physical frames in the class standing at 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds as well as showing some positional versatility being able to play all over the field.  He has shown the ability to jump balls in the past reaching exit velocities up to 92.5 mph with strong bat speed and can play strong defense at first, third, catcher, and even outfield if needed.  On the mound, the fastball is working in the low 80's currently with a firmer slider up to 74 mph, but don't be surprised to see those numbers jump pretty significantly in the coming years.

Brock Copass C / 3B / Bixby, OK / 2027

Copass was thrust into catching duties for a talented Bixby squad this summer and more than handled his own behind the plate working with a staff with big stuff.  The receiving and blocking skills have made big jumps over the last year and has shown showcase pop times as low as 1.96 in the past.  Copass has shown strong bat to ball skills and is one of the more experienced hitters on this year's Super Sophomore club.  Copass will also split time in the infield this weekend as well as on the mound where he is working the fastball in the lower 80's and showing strong feel for spinning the breaking ball.

Joey Grabeal C / 3B / Owasso, OK / 2027

Grabeal has had a big summer on the travel circuit and impressed at this summer's Top Prospect Underclass games where he showed advanced strength at the plate.  Reaching exit velocities during BP up to 94.5 mph, the hand strength shows up in games with balls jumping off the barrel at times thanks to very quick hands through the zone.  Defensively, he is one of the more athletic movers behind the plate with strong blocking and receiving skills and can also add some positional versatility playing on the hot corner as well,

Jeron Dow SS / RHP / Enid, OK / 2027

Dow joins Team OK as one of the more projectable arms in the class after a strong showing at the Top Prospect Underclass Games earlier this summer.  The 6-foot-5 and 185 pound right hander is already working the fastball up to 84 mph and has a strong three pitch mix with the curveball showing shape in the low 70's and feel for a fading changeup up to 75 mph.  The hand speed and physical frame project for much more in the tank for the future and has potential to really climb as a prospect as he continues to gain strength and experience on the mound.

Harry Hanley LHP / OF / Tahlequah, OK / 2027

Hanley joins team OK after we caught two strong performances on the mound from his this summer, both at the Sandlot Scout Day and again at the OKC Summer ID.  The left-hander has shown the ability to pound the strike zone with low 80's fastball and showing a strong mix of the lower 70's breaking ball and advanced feel for the fading 73 mph changeup.  Currently standing at 5-foot-10 and a lean 135 pounds, the hand speed suggests for potential big jumps in velocity as he continues to build strength that should pair nicely with his already strong pitchability profile.

Traylon Barnes SS / RHP / Tuttle, OK / 2027

Barnes joins Team OK as one of the more talented 2-way prospects in the '27 class.  On the mound, Barnes is working the fastball in the mid 80's with strong feel for command and action of the breaking ball.  His ability to pound the zone combined with a knack for picking up swings and misses makes him one of the more intriguing prospects on the mound.  He can also play strong defense in the middle of the field with good actions and feel for rhythm.  The bat has some sneaky pop in there thanks to a well-sequenced swing and above average strength than the 5-foot-10 and 150 pound frame would suggest.
