PBR OK hosted the third annual OK Summer Open at Central Oklahoma University. Nearly 75 players showcased their skill in front of the PBR OK staff and multiple colleges.

Sam Bass 2B / OF / Bishop McGuinness , OK / 2020

Showcased feel for an advanced 6-foot, 210-pound frame with physicality and easy strength in his actions. The right-handed hitter begins from a straight up, even stance utilizing a short lift-and-replace stride. Some stretch back with the hands and small sink into a strong lower-half allowed for a slightly uphill path through the baseball generating present backspin. An easy, repeatable swing yielded advanced barrel awareness and bat-exit velocities of 88 mph  . Recorded a 7.71 60-yard dash. The primary middle infielder demonstrated adequate footwork with average range to both sides. Took advantageous routes to the ball creating momentum towards the target, registering accurate throws of 74 mph out of a hitchy, ¾ arm-slot. 

Kade Brewster 2B / SS / Meeker , OK / 2021

Showcased a long and lean 6-foot-2, 135-pound frame with obvious projectability. The right-handed hitter begins from a balanced, even stance utilizing a quick lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Showed advanced feel for his hands while generating an easy, slightly uphill barrel through the zone. Registered a 74 mph bat-exit velocity with some carry to the pull-side gap. Future gap to gap power can be expected with added strength. Ran a 7.43 60-yard dash. The primary middle infielder arrived on time to balls on both sides of his body with advantageous routes allowing for momentum towards the target. A low center of gravity and comfortable glove hand with ability to push and pull when needed yielded accurate 74 mph arm-strength out of a fluid, high ¾ arm-slot. 

Davis Crowley 2B / 3B / Norman , OK / 2020

The 5-foot-8, 150-pound middle infielder demonstrated advanced feel for a lean, athletic frame with present twitch. The right-handed hitter begins from an even, balanced stance utilizing high hands to start and a leg-lift stride to initiate his swing. A quick, short barrel enters the zone through a flat path generating barrel whip with advanced extension on the back-end. Registered an 84 mph bat-exit velocity   with an easy feel for his hands. Recorded an impressive 6.85 60-yard dash. The primary second baseman showcased advanced footwork while arriving with fluidity and momentum towards the target upon contact. Created advantageous angles to the baseball while playing low to the ground with a quick first step. A soft glove hand pushed and pulled when necessary, and adequate transfers allowed for accurate 82 mph arm-strength out of a short, high ¾ arm-slot.

Braydon Hutchings 2B / RHP / Edison preparatory , OK / 2021

Displayed a stiff and lean 5-foot-9, 145-pound frame with some strength in his current body. The right-handed hitter starts with an even stance utilizing a short lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Drives high through the waste while entering the zone with a flat bat-path, lacking maximum lower-half drive upon impact. Demonstrated some barrel whip with length in his swing, generating an 80 mph bat-exit velocity  . Recorded a 7.27 60-yard dash. The primary middle infielder showed stiff, long movements during defensive evaluations with a soft glove hand and consistent transfers. Registered an accurate 81 mph arm-strength across the diamond out of a ¾ arm-slot.

Mason Teeter 2B / SS / Piedmont , OK / 2020

The 5-foot-11, 150-pound primary second baseman showcased a long and lean frame with present athleticism. The right-handed hitter begins from a balanced, even stance utilizing a rock back with a leg-hang to initiate his swing. Generated a flat barrel path through the zone generating a 77 mph bat-exit velocity with some whip. A soft front-side could be stiffened for an increase in both extension and gap to gap power. Demonstrated feel for his hands spraying line drives consistently through the middle of the field. Recorded a 7.08 60-yard dash. The primary middle infielder displayed adequate footwork during defensive evaluations, arriving to the ball on time and playing through it towards the target. Utilized a high-effort, ¾ arm-slot yielding accurate 80 mph arm-strength across the infield with small run.
