Updated Class of 2025 Player Rankings (November)

Throughout the fall we were all over the state, scouting numerous prospects and seeing many new names came to the forefront of the recruiting scene. With that information, we are updating each of our class rankings based off what we have seen. We start with the Class of 2025.

As school gets underway and the fall sports season kicks off, we will take a look at "What's New at the Top", "Risers”, "Fall Showcase Standouts", "Prospects College Coaches Need To Circle Back To", and a look some of the top uncommitted prospects by position.

What's New At The Top

Zion Theophilus RHP / OF / Archbishop Moeller, OH / 2025

Report: In the top spot remains Zion Theophilus. Excited to see some refinement of the arsenal this spring. After a dominant 2024 I think we can expect an even better 2025.

Jude Fisher RHP / OF / Pro5 Academy, NC / 2025

Report: There are 3 new faces in the top 10, headlined by Ohio State RHP prospect Jude Fisher. Jude flew up our rankings last winter after an impressive performance at Premier Scout Day and then continued to climb after stellar spring and summer seasons. He’s an athlete on the mound with good control of all 3 pitches. Works ahead of hitters to stay out of fastball counts, keeps them off balance with his willingness to throw any pitch at any time. Elite competitor. Jude joins the Top 10 at number 6.

Charlie Hoagland LHP / OF / Chaminade-Julienne, OH / 2025

Report: Joining Jude is the left-handed spin doctor from Chaminade-Julienne, an East Carolina commit, Charlie Hoagland. Charlie fits the profile of what ECU typically recruits which is guys with command of outlier secondary stuff. He’s a long and lean 6-foot-1, 180-pounds and we think there’s a lot more room on the body to project him out. Charlie has the make-up to reach his ceiling, don’t be surprised if you see a much different looking athlete after a couple years in a college weight room. Charlie enters the Top 10 at number 9.

Austin Rose C / 1B / Newark, OH / 2025

Report: Making his way back into the Top 10 after a brief hiatus is the Ohio State catching prospect from Newark, Austin Rose. Austin impressed on the summer circuit once again and showed why he’s one of the top catching prospects that Ohio has to offer. A threat to leave the yard every time he steps in the box, his power in BP translates well in-game. Austin re-joins the Top 10 at number 10.

The Risers

Scott Dimarco RHP / OF / Medina Buckeye, OH / 2025

Report: From outside the Top 100 all the way up to number 31 on our list is a right-handed pitching prospect out of Medina Buckeye High School, Scott Dimarco. The recent University of Cincinnati Bearcats commit exploded on the scene this year and caught the attention of the staff down in Clifton. Scott sits 87-88 with the ability to go up and grab a 90, however, his secondary offerings are what set him apart. Scott creates some problems for hitters with a slider that averages more than 18 inches of horizontal break, and a changeup with 0 inches of induced vertical break and 11 inches of horizontal.

Garyson Smiddy LHP / LHP / Defiance, OH / 2025

Report: The projectable 6-7, 220-pound southpaw rose 76 spots after strong summer and fall showings. Features a fastball that has been up to 89 MPH, which is complimented by a wipeout slider. Not a finished product at this stage by any means, as the best is yet to come for the lefty.

Giacomo Dolce SS / 2B / Riverside, OH / 2025

Report: Also making a big jump from 294 to 125 is uncommitted middle infielder Giacomo Dolce from the B2 Bulls. Giacomo had a stand out season of the summer, pacing that offense and providing clutch hit after clutch hit against the best arms they faced. He’s a scrappy, throwback style player with the skills to contribute early to the program he ends up at.

Hutch Crociata OF / LHP / Mason, OH / 2025

Report: Entering the rankings for the first time at number 217 is Hutch Crociata from Mason. Hutch is an instinctual defender with elite ball tracking ability that has above average bat to balls skills. A quality left-handed stick that will look to follow up his pivotal role in Mason’s state title run last spring with a strong senior season.

Fall Showcase Standouts

Connor Fuhrer RHP / 2B / Archbishop Moeller, OH / 2025

Report: Connor continues to fly up the board thanks to his consistent and steady improvement. It’s difficult to find true projection this late in the process but there’s still a lot of room left for Connor. Currently sits 87-89 up to 91 with an absolute bowling ball of a sinker that bores down on hitters, paired with + slider that he can run into the low 80’s. With the addition of a bridge pitch this off-season expect to see big things from him this spring.

Christophe Alexander SS / RHP / Mayfield, OH / 2025

Report: Stood out at the Ohio Fall Uncommitted Games. Christophe hadn’t attended an event since 2022 and what difference those two years made. A late riser in the class after flying a bit under the radar. The measurables are consistent with a Top 50 ranking, he’ll rise up the rankings to number 49 after putting on a show during the in-game portion of the event.

Lincoln Briggs RHP / OF / Medina, OH / 2025

Report: It was a big fall for Lincoln Briggs that saw him turn in a very strong performance at Ohio Fall Uncommitted Games, earn an invite to throw at State Games and culminated with his commitment to pitch at Ashland University. Lincoln impressed us with his command of the 84-86 T87 mph fastball that he threw anywhere he wanted during the Uncommitted Games and then kept hitters off-balance with a slider/splitter secondary arsenal. Lincoln joins the rankings for the first time, coming in at number 148.

College Coaches Need to Circle Back To

Cam Simmons OF / LHP / New Albany, OH / 2025

Report: Former Future Games participant Cam Simmons is a name recruiters will want to circle back this spring. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound outfielder profiles best in one of the corners and has the ability to run balls out of the park.

Anthony Alberty RHP / OF / Walsh Jesuit, OH / 2025

Report: If we turned around tomorrow and Alberty was off the board it wouldn’t be surprising as the right fit could be there for schools looking to add a dependable right handed pitcher with a high compete factor. 84-86 was the range he sat in pretty much all season and at times was coming in with up to 18 inches of IVB. The lower release has some potential for VAA benefits if he got with the right staff.

Tommy Farkas LHP / 1B / Strongsville High School, OH / 2025

Report: Tommy is an arm we expected to see go off the board by now and absolutely a guy to come back and evaluate. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound left-handed pitching prospect turned in a good spring season for Strongsville in 2024 and will look to build off that in his senior campaign. Last we saw him he was 84-86 T887 at Top Prospect Games with some feel for spin and the ability to pull the string on hitters with his changeup.

Seth Green OF / RHP / Harrison, OH / 2025

Report: Seth Green is another name coaches will be pleased to see is still available. The 6.42 runner has a lot to offer from a tools perspective and we see him having a higher ceiling than most around this same ranking. Seth plays the game hard and the tools are loud, 91 MPH from the outfield and up to 96 off the bat in BP. For recruiters looking for a value add late, Seth could be the perfect pick up.

Brady Borton OF / RHP / Defiance, OH / 2025

Report: Toolsy/athletic 6-0, 180-pound outfield prospect. Runs a sub-6.6, has a near 100 MPH exit velo, an upper-80s outfield velo, and impressive hand/bat speed numbers. A name to circle back to and take a look at this spring.

Henry Bradley RHP / SS / Loveland High School, OH / 2025

Report: When he had him out to an event last, Henry Bradley was 85-86, T87, but we’ve verified reports up to 89 MPH. There’s a competitive tempo to his game and a confidence that certain coaches  will fall in love with. Henry attacks early, using pace as a weapon to knock guys off balance or catch them sleeping. He’ll be a name many will consider this off-season as rosters begin to take shape for next fall.
