Fugitt: I chose Purdue because of they have a quality academic program. Also I think Coach Wasikowski can help us win championships, and develop me as a player.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Fugitt: I also had interest in Bowling Green.
PBR: Coach Wasikowski is in new era at Purdue. How does it feel to be a part of his first recruiting class?
Fugitt: It feels really good, the way he recruited me is another thing I really liked about him from the start.
PBR: Your high school teammate Corey Brooks has also committed to the Boilermakers. How much of a role did he play in your decision?
Fugitt: Before Cory had committed I already knew that I was very interested in Purdue. So once he told me he was going, it solidified my decision.

Fugitt:Feels great! I can't wait to be apart of the boilermaker baseball family.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Fugitt:I play for the Ohio Independence, my favorite summer memory was hanging around with my teammates and having fun on the field with them!
PBR: Your dad is your high school coach at Hilliard Darby. What was it like to play for your father throughout your high school career?
Fugitt: It's been great, it's almost like we are on the same page when it comes to games and situations. We've had great success and it's because of him!
