TOP UNCOMMITTED Catchers

Ryan Miller C / SS / Dublin Jerome, OH / 2021

Report: One of the more projectable bats in the state’s 2021 class. Physical tools are obvious to go along with his 6-foot-3 frame. The lefty stick flows through load incorporating athletic, efficient movements to loading sequence. Drove the ball with authority in BP, especially to pull side gap. Hit tool is already advanced for class and he still has more physical maturing to do. Has a chance to be dynamic once he twitches up. Also possesses impressive strike zone knowledge and approach in game. Behind the dish he shows solid receiving skills with above average catch and throw abilities. Time will tell if he stays back there or grows out of the position. Also worked out at third base. Actions are fluid and hands are soft. With his functional athleticism it’s a safe bet he will develop well into third or another corner spot.
