On Deck Preview: Future Games Catchers
July 28, 2018
Tyler Coy C / Canisius, NY / 2020Rankings StateRank: 24 / POS: 3
Coy burst onto the scene back in June at the NYS Games in Binghamton. Sets up in a spread stance with some barrel tip towards the mound; strong lower half with some drive through the middle of the field. Strong arm behind the plate and with a few adjustments within his transfer and footwork he should be able to get his pop time below 2.0. |
Nicholas Winslow C / Saratoga Central Catholic, NY / 2020Rankings StateRank: 64 / POS: 8
Winslow has been on the PBR-NY radar for some time now. Steadily progressing up the rankings with an accurate arm, quick feet and consistent pop times. Frame is starting to fill out some and the bat is starting to play at higher levels. Quick wrists and has some whip through the zone; high contact, line drive mentality. Look for him to be a "circle and follow" player on coaches clipboards. |
Henry Juan C / Horseheads, NY / 2020Rankings StateRank: 44 / POS: 6
