Our final series of 2018 fall All-Star Games will take place this Sunday on campus at SUNY Cortland. The morning session will kick off at 9am (8:15am check-in) with a traditional showcase until 10:30am. A live scrimmage game will run roughly from 10:30am-12:30pm.

The afternoon session will a 12:45 start (12noon check-in) with the showcase running to about 2pm. Structured scrimmage will run roughly 2:15-4:15pm.

Corner Infielders

Tyler Jennings 1B / Liverpool, NY / 2020 Rankings  StateRank: 119 / POS: 4 6-foot-4 180 pound right-handed hitter; spread, slightly open stance with a sweeping swing path through the zone. Handles himself well around the bag.

 

 

Kent Wilson 1B / OF / CBA - Syracuse, NY / 2019 First time attendee who also plays for the Syracuse Sportszone. Solid 6-foot-0 210 pound left-handed hitter.

 

 

Maximus Maldonado RHP / 3B / Fordham Prep, NY / 2020 Strong, athletic frame at 6-foot-1 190 pounds. The right-handed hitter has shown lift to his pull side; some rawness to the hot corner but with experience he should adjust. On the mound he was up to 80 MPH this past July at Marist; flashed better feel for his slider then curveball.

 

 

Brendan Williams 3B / RHP / Auburn , NY / 2019 First time attendee who also plays for Baseball U of CNY. 5-foot-11 195 pound right-handed hitter.

 

 

Hudson Bockmier LHP / 1B / Pittsford Mendon, NY / 2019 Rankings  StateRank: 375 / POS: 25 Well put together LHP/1B who was at the WNY ASG games last week. Solid defender and stick. Up to 79 MPH on the mound with feel for CB.

 

 

Christopher Palmieri 3B / 2B / Warwick, NY / 2020 Rankings  StateRank: 171 / POS: 14 Athletic 5-foot-10 160 pound hitter with solid feel for the barrel; easy effort in the box. Active defender with lateral range, really looking forward to seeing him again (last event was in February).

 

 

Aaron Sisto 3B / 2B / Liverpool , NY / 2020 Rankings  StateRank: 164 / POS: 12 Developing offensive player who can drive the ball to the pull side; repeats efforts, balanced efforts. Steady defender with room to add arm strength.

 

 

Adam Marsh 1B / OF / Liverpool, NY / 2021 First time attendee who also plays for Baseball U of CNY. 6-foot-2 170- frame for the right-handed hitter.

 

 

Brent Isaacs 3B / SS / Whitney Point , NY / 2021 Rankings  StateRank: 47 / POS: 6 Promising upside for Isaacs at the plate. Swung bat well both at the Campus Series-St. Rose and at Bard College Scout Weekend. 2B/3B projection over the long term.

 

 

Nicholas Alvernaz 1B / LHP / Horseheads , NY / 2022 The 5-foot-9 146 pound 1B and left-handed hitter attended two Rising Star events in 2018 and is now ready for his first high school event. Whippy bat through the zone; stays on the balls of feet at first with a short release. As he gets stronger and matures the skill set will continue to develop.

 

 

Sam May 3B / OF / Fulton, NY / 2021 Rankings  StateRank: 31 / POS: 3 Another corner infielder who can really handle the bat. Already a veteran at PBR events; short compact stroke from the right side with some late acceleration through the zone. Has sneaky pop and is also comfortable in the OF.

 

 

Ryan Birchard 1B / Auburn , NY / 2021 6-foot-0 185 pound right-handed hitter who also plays for the Syracuse Jr. Chiefs.
