The score remained 6-1 Patriots until the top of the 6th when Huntsville scored 3 runs to cut the deficit to 6-4. Jayce Guyette drove in Stone Lawless, who earlier walked, to make it 6-2. Sophomore Cade Prestegard came though with a 1 out RBI single to make it 6-3 and Sottolano (hit by pitch) scored on a wild pitch to cut the lead to 6-4.
