2024 Future Games: Team Massachusetts - Workout/Gameday Notes

The 13th annual Future Games took place on July 24-28 at LakePoint in Emerson, Georgia. Top uncommitted prospects in the classes of 2026 and 2027 participated in one of the most popular events each year.

There were 36 teams, including Team Massachusetts, with players representing 43 states plus Canadian prospects. Each team played three games the final three days of the event after all position players are put through a showcase workout on Wednesday, the first day of the Future Games.

More than 300 colleges from across the country were looking on as approximately 500 players participated in this year’s event. This year, more than 450 college coaches from all over the country were in attendance.

The Two-Way

James Rabuse OF / SS / Wahconah, MA / 2026

Report: Athletic right-handed hitting outfielder and pitcher. The bat has plus life and power potential. The approach in the outfield is athletic and he throws well. On the mound, the delivery is solid in tempo amd the arm is clean and quick. The fastball is 87/88 with good life. He showed a plus slider in the upper 70s and a breaking ball 71-73 mph with depth. Good athlete.

The Arms

Matt Blanusa RHP / Dexter Southfield, MA / 2026

Report: Quick armed right-hander. Fastball sits 86-88 with 76-78 slider and a changeup at 80-82. Good athlete.

Alex Boone RHP / OF / Hanover High School, NH / 2026

Report: Threw from the stretch. Fastball was 88-89 with life. Showed a plus slider at 80-82 mph. Athletic arm who moves quickly and has a feel for what he is doing.

Chase Edgar RHP / SS / Austin Prep, NH / 2026

Report: Quick armed right-hander. Showed all 3 pitches for strikes. Repeated and moved athletically. Fastball sat 86-88 with the spin pitch at 74-75 as well as a changeup at 73-75.

James Gibbons RHP / SS / Roxbury Latin, MA / 2026

Report: Mid 80s right-hander with a mid 70s slider and a feel for a changeup. 

Ryan Kelly RHP / RHP / Milton High, MA / 2026

Report: Quick armed right-hander. Mid 80s guy with a good breaking ball.

Leo Lyons LHP / Worcester Academy, MA / 2026

Report: Southpaw with an 84-86 fastball that shows arm-side action. Breaking ball is 71-73 mph with depth and tilt. Lift and delivery is solid in tempo, the direction needs alignment as he spins off. The arm is clean and quick.

Brian Mancinelli RHP / 1B / St John Paul ll, MA / 2026

Report: Righty with an 88-89 mph fastball that shows plus life and arm-side run. Slider is 79-81 mph and can be thrown with more intent. Good arm. Changeup is a work in progress. Lift and action is repeated, solid in tempo. 3/4 arm slot with plus hand speed. Arms and long, he projects. 

Leo Meuse RHP / 1B / Noble and Greenough School, MA / 2026

Report: Big right-handed pitcher with a good feel for his body. Short arm path, showed all 3 for strikes. He needs innings and he should be very good. Fastball sat 86-87 while showing a slider at 74-75 to go along with a changeup at 75-76 mph.

Carson Rylander RHP / 2B / Drury, MA / 2026

Report: Low 3/4 right-handed pitcher. Solid tempo in delivery with clean/repeated arm action. The action is athletic and he has good arm speed. The fastball sat 82-84 mph with arm-side run. The spin pitch is a slider, which is very good, siting 77-79 mph. 

Andrew Shute RHP / 3B / Bishop Feehan, MA / 2026

Report: Long armed right-hander with plus arm speed. Moves and repeats athletically. Fastball sat 87-88 with slider at 78-79 and a changeup at 79-81.

The Infielders

Mac Bianchi SS / 2B / Noble and Greenough, MA / 2026

Report: Left-handed hitting middle infielder. Shows plus athleticism with an above average skill set defensively. Swung the bat well, flat path. Frame needs strength.

Tucker Cali 3B / 1B / Somerville High, MA / 2026

Report: Big right-handed hitting corner infielder. Runs, throws and shows above average skill set with the bat. 

Morrie Fried 3B / 1B / Pittsfield, MA / 2026

Report: Big right-handed hitting corner infielder. Plus potential with the bat, serious juice. Solid glove and throwing arm.

Colby Moholland 1B / OF / Washington academy, ME / 2026

Report: Left-handed hitting first baseman with power potential with the bat. Shows a feel for the glove at first base.

Jack Murray SS / 2B / Loyola High School, MA / 2026

Report: Left-handed hitting middle infielder. The bat path is flat to slightly uphill with gap to gap pop. The glove is solid and he is very athletic. 

Nolan Rappoli SS / 2B / Xaverian Brothers, MA / 2026

Report: Plus defender with the glove and shows a short throwing path. The bat has life, and he shows a good feel for the game. 

Teddy Stephenson SS / RHP / Bangor, ME / 2026

Report: Twitchy right-handed hitting with life in the bat. The glove is solid and his throwing is above average. 

The Outfielders

Ryan Moreschi OF / LHP / Austin Prep, MA / 2026

Report: Plus runner, good athleticism in the outfield, solid throwing arm. The bat is flat with gap to gap power potential. Good player.

Logan Our OF / LHP / St John Paul II, MA / 2026

Report: Left-handed hitting outfielder with plus athleticism. The bat path is uphill with life. The arm is plus. 

Ryan Ruggiero OF / LHP / Winchendon School, MA / 2026

Report: Plus plus runner. Approach in the outfield is athletic and aggressive. Throws, runs and the bat has a simple path with life.

The Catchers

Alexander Cantwell C / OF / Dexter Southfield, MA / 2026

Report: Left-handed hitting catcher and corner infielder. Showed plus potential with the barrel and a good feel for the catch/throw behind the dish.

Sam Clark C / 3B / Reading Memorial High, MA / 2026

Report: Left-handed hitting catcher. Showed a short stroke with a feel for spreading the field. Solid catch and throw skill set.

Brett Gallo C / St Sebastian's, MA / 2026

Report: Big right-handed hitting catcher, potential with the bat. The skill set behind the dish is solid as well. Spread out at the plate, pick up and put down of the front foot. Good path, slightly uphill to contact.
