PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?
HARGIS: I chose Morningside College for 2 reasons: first off it had Sports marketing as a major and that's the career I want to pursue. Secondly, I chose this school because it's close to home.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
HARGIS: I was considering William and Mary, Dordt College, and Hastings.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
HARGIS: The coaches first noticed me during a fall ball tournament of there's. The coach was impressed with my play and initiated contact with me and my father after the game. We talked a bit and exchanged phone numbers; the relationship developed from there over phone calls and text messages and eventually face to face at a college visit and live practice with the team.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
HARGIS: I am somewhat relieved that the process is over so I can focus on my final season in high school; but hope I didn't sign to early if I have a breakout season.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
HARGIS: The players and coaches were amazing. During the live practice the older guys would help me with little things I was doing wrong that I wouldn't have ever noticed and I became a better player in all aspects because of them; so that's what finally made up my mind

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
CONNOR: My family has helped me the most in being the person and a ball player I am today. I have two brothers who have virtually helped me in every facet of the game and we were always in competition with each other which was great. Just growing up in that atmosphere made me battle for everything! And I was taught to respect people and there opinions and have learned hard work from both my parents. I have been molded into the player I am today by my coaches and teammates throughout my high school career.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
HARGIS: The process started out difficult because it was hard to get myself out there, but once I accomplished that, the process eventually got easier.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
HARGIS: The coaching staff hasn't said what they have in store for me my freshman year. I expect to have to work my butt off to possibly get in the position to be on the varsity team.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
HARGIS: My most memorable baseball moment to date was probably beating Creighton Prep 20-2 in the district championship this past spring season.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
HARGIS: The best player I have competed against would definitely be Cole Stobbe. We compete every day at practice and workouts with each other. But the best player not on my team would probably be Logan Foster from Lincoln Southwest; the dude is a phenomenal player and can hit basically anything hard!
