PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?
COLIN: I chose Wayne State because I developed a really good relationship with the coaches. They play in a really tough conference so there will be lots of high level competition, and I believe I can contribute to the team.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
COLIN: I was considering the University of Sioux Falls and UNO. I was also contacted by multiple Division 3/NAIA schools but didn't show much interest.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
COLIN: I went to their showcase camp this fall up and they also had watched me play most of the summer. We have stayed in contact since the middle of summer and they constantly check in with me.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
COLIN: It's a big weight off my chest knowing where I'm going to play next year. This year I'm just going to focus on improving my game everyday and getting ready for college ball.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
COLIN: The biggest factor that helped me with my decision was playing time. I feel like I'll be able to play a role on the team and earn playing time.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today? 
COLIN: Without my parents constant support and dedication I wouldn't be where I am today.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
COLIN: I was very stressed out during the recruiting process, it's a lot of time and commitment, it also comes with a lot of research and dedication. It was difficult towards the end of the process when it came down to making a decision but I think I made the right decision.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
COLIN: They plan for me to work hard, play a role on the team and do everything I can to contribute to the success of the team.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
COLIN: My most memorable moment in high school baseball so far is making state and playing at Werner Park in a crazy atmosphere with a huge crowd. Also, winning two district championships in my time at Papio.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against? 
COLIN: The best player I've competed against was Jake Meyers when he was at Westside before playing at Nebraska.
