Player Evals: Winter Kickoff ID-2021 & 2022 Position Players

PBR North Carolina held its Winter Kickoff ID on Sunday February 14th in Maiden, NC. The event was held at the Athletes Lab Performance Center. Athletes lab is a spacious facility that has multiple batting cages, a pitching area, weight room, and a fully open cage at 120ft x 100ft. It provides kids with a great place to train.
Position players were able to run a laser timed 30, take batting practice in the open cage with Trackman and Blast recording ball flight and swing analytics. Position players were also able to go through a defensive workout being graded on their athleticism, footwork, hands, and arm strength. Pitchers threw a controlled bullpen with Trackman measuring ball flight analytics.

Ryker Galaska C / OF / JH Rose, NC / 2021
Positional Profile: C/OF
Body: 6_1, 200-pounds. Strong build.
Defense: 2.12-2.19 pop times. Quick exchanges across his chest, feet gain ground to target, average hands receiving.
Arm: R. C - 76 mph. Accurate, short arm action, high 3/4 slot.
Hit: L. Balanced, even base, hands back up above back shoulder. Short stride, quiet hands. Fast hands, short to the ball, barrel stays through the zone, gets extension through the middle of the field, drove the ball gap to gap.
Power: 101 mph exit. Consistent hard contact in BP, plenty of bat speed with barrel whip through the zone.

Positional Profile: C/1B
Body: 6-2, 185-pounds. Strong build.
Defense: 2.10-2.22 pop times. IF-Active feet, catches the ball near center, some stiffness to his hands, clean exchanges. C-Quick feet with quick, clean exchanges across his chest, has hip mobility, average to above hands receiving.
Arm: R. C - 74 mph. INF - 80 mph. IF-Accurate, long arm action, over the top slot. C-Short arm action, over the top slot, some feel for the second base bag.
Hit: L. Narrow, even base, barrel flat over back shoulder. Leg kick against back hiip, average stride, small hand load. Quick, strong hands, short barrel path to the ball, flat barrel path through the zone, can use the whole field, lots of balls off the barrel.
Power: 97 mph exit. Lots of hard contact in BP, has barrel whip through the zone, above average bat speed.

Body: 6_0, 220-pounds. Strong, sturdy build.
Defense: 2.16-2.32 pop times. Fluid feet, clean transfers across his midsection, average hands receiving.
Arm: R. C - 71 mph. Short arm action,high 3/4 slot, some feel for the second base bag.
Hit: R. Balanced, even base, hands just above back shoulder. Short strie, quiet hands. Short to ball, some lift to the barrel path, gets extension out front, hands have quickness, lined balls to his pull side.
