Southwest Missouri Summer Trials: Complete Analysis

On July 14, Prep Baseball Report-Missouri held the Southwest Missouri Summer Trials at Meador Park and Drury University in Springfield, Missouri.  Fifty-plus players participated in the event from the 2020 class to the 2016 class from all over the state.

Below is a look at all the players with a complete analysis of their performance.  Players will be updated in the player rankings in the weeks to come.  Players are listed in alphabetical order.

Players

Clayton Adams, RHP, Liberty, 2017
Adam is a 6-foot-5 195-pound right-handed 3B and right-handed pitcher.  He is in the 2017 class from Libert HS.  Runs, a 7.64 60 with 80 mph exit velo; balanced stance, toe top, level swing through zone, mostly middle-to-pull in batting practice, fluid rhythm.  On the infield, 70 mph positional velo, fluid footwork, long arm swing, over-the-top release, clean exchange, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, 74-76 mph, touched 80 mph with one fastball, body under control during delivery, slight rotation at balance point, stays inline, 12-to-6 to 11-to-5 breaking ball,  60-61 mph, change-up at 65-66 mph. 

Andrew Aswegan, OF, Park Hill South 2017
Aswegan is a f-foot-11 185-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  He has an 83 mph exit velo, runs a 7.38 60, smooth rhythm at the plate, slight hand load, simple stride, showed power to pull gap, level to extension, balance throughout swing.  In the outfield, high three-quarters release, plays through the ball with momentum towards target, mostly accurate throws, 80 mph positional velo, one of the top for the event.

Kaleb Baker, C, Aurora, 2017
Baker is a 5-foot-11 170-pound right-handed hitting catcher in the 2017 class from Aurora HS.  He had pop times between 2.09 and 2.31, high three-quarters slot, quick foot work, fluid exchange. 75 mph positional velo.  At the plate, balanced set-up, reverse toe tap, in line stride, loose hands, quick bat speed, gap-to-gap approach in BP, feel for the barrel, 77 mph exit velo.

Blake Barnes, SS, Boonville, 2017
Barnes is a 5-foot-6 145-pound right-handed hitting shortstop/second baseman in the 2017 class from Boonville.  Barnes has a 75 mph exit velo and runs a 7.53 60,At the plate, simple load in back leg, minimal movement in hands, in line stride, quick bat speed, line drives to middle/opposite gap, level to extension.  During defensive evals, quick feet, clean exchange, over-the-top release, plays though the ball, athletic actions, 69 mph positional velo. 

Garrett Bell, OF, Raymore-Peculiar, 2016
Bell is a 5-foot-8 150-pound left-handed hitting outfielder from Raymore-Peculiar’s 2016 class.  Offensively, Bell has loads in back leg, hits with leverage, uphill path, mostly pull side in batting practice, 76 mph exit velo, runs a 6.92 60.  In the outfield, high three-quarters release, quick footwork, works behind ball, momentum towards target, clean exchange, accurate throws, 79 mph positional velo.

Michael Brown, RHP, Camdenton, 2016
Brown is a 6-foot-3 195-pound right-handed pitcher and right-handed hitting first baseman from Camendon.  He is a 2016 graduate.  At the plate, minimal load, repeatable swing mechanics, uses middle of field in batting practice, slight arm bar in front arm, level path through hitting zone, runs 7.75 60 and has 79 mph exit velo.  In the outfield, 67 mph positional velo. 

Brett Denney, 3B, Logan-Rogersville
Denney is a strong 6-foot-1 197-pound right-handed hitter in the 2016 class from Logan-Rogersville.  Denney has an advanced approach at the plate, using a balanced set up, short stride, and loose hands to produce a level swing through the zone.  He has a gap-to-gap approach with power to the pull gap.  He has an 87 mph exit velo, one of the best on the day, and runs a 7.29 60.  On the infield, he has athletic actions and made all the plays.  He has quick feet, clean exchange and a quick release.  He has a positional velo of  76 mph.  On the mound, Denney posted one of the top velos of the day at 83 mph.  He has a high-three quarters release, arm works, smooth rhythm in his delivery and stays in line as he gets down mound.  Fastball works at 81-83 mph, slight run, 11-to-5 breaking ball at 71-73 mph and change-up at 71-76 mph.

Parker Dent, RHP, Nixa, 2016
Dent is a 6-foot 180-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher.  At the plate, he has minimal load and a short stride.  He showed feel for the barrel during batting practice, using the whole field.  He is short to contact and level through extension.  Dent has an exit velo of 79 mph and runs a 7.45 60.  Defensively, he has a 79 mph velo from the outfield, fluid footwork, working behind the ball, loose over-top-arm action.  On the mound, Dent has a slow start to his delivery and accelerates down the mound.  He keeps his shoulders mostly level and stay line towards the catcher.  Dent has a high-three quarters to an over-the-top delivery, producing fastball between 78-81 mph, some with late run.  He has a 12-to-6 shaped curveball, consistently down in the zone at 69-70 mph and flashed a 73-75 mph change-up, with slight arm side release.

Jaydee Duhamell, C, Warrensburg, 2015
Duhamell is a 5-foot-10 190-pound right-handed hitting catcher.  He has a wide stance with small stride at the plate, pull approach, 67 mph exit velo and 8.24 60.  Behind the plate, Duhamell has pop times between 2.56 and 2.78, an over-the-top release and 63 mph positional velo.

Luke Gray, RHP, Fulton, 2017
Gray is a 5-foot-10 165-pound right-handed pitcher and right-handed hitting second baseman.  Gray has a 7.71 60 time and a 76 mph exit velo.  He starts in a tall/balanced position at the plate, high leg lift to stride, lands in line with pitcher, middle-to-pull approach, balanced throughout swing. On the infield, works around ball with fluid footwork, clean exchange, high-three-quarters release, 70 mph infield velo. On the mound, has more of an over-the-top arm slot, good body control during delivery, loose arm action, smooth rhythm. Fastball at 73-79 mph, throws for strike. Curveball, at 61-to-64 mph, 12-to-6 action, change up, near fastball arm speed, 67-68 mph. 

Chance Herrman, C, Reeds Spring, 2017
Herman is a 6-foot 195-pound right-handed hitting catcher.  Herrman runs a 7.81 60 and has an exit velo of 84 mph.  At the plate, he starts in a tall stance and uses his lower half to load, keeping his hands still.  He has a short stride and short path to contact and good extension.  He has a gap-to-gap approach with consistent solid contact during batting practice.  Behind the plate, he has a clean exchange with fluid footwork, an over-top-release, makes mostly accurate throws, 74 mph positional velo, 2.03 to 2.10 pop times. 

Chase Hill, SS, KC Christian, 2020
Hill is a 5-foot-11 150-pound switch hitting shortstop and outfielder in the 2020 class.  In the outfield, Hill has a positional velo of 73 and throws with an over-the-top release.  He has a fluid exchange and fluid footwork.  On the infield, he has a high-three quarters release, fielded the ball in an athletic position and posted a velo of 73 mph.  At the plate, Hill has an efficient load on both sides of the plate.  He has a short stride and level path through the zone.  He has more solid contact from the left side, using a middle-to-pull approach.  He had an exit velo of 73 mph from both sides.  Hill has a projectable build that will add strength as he matures. 

Trey Hoover, 3B, Maryville, 2017
Hoover is a 5-foot-10 170-pound right handed third baseman in the 2017 class.  During defensive evalutions, Hoover showed a quick release with a high-three quarters release.  He has quick feet on the infield and makes mostly accurate throws at 70 mph.  Offensively, Hoover ran a 7.51 60 and had an exit velo of 85 mph.  He starts in a balanced position and has a toe touch for timing.  Hoover has quick hands and hits with leverage from his back side using mostly the pull side of the field during batting practice. 

Evan Hutcheson, 2B, Carl Junction, 2016
Hutcheson is a 5-foot-11 170-pound right-handed middle infielder in the 2016 class. At the plate, Hutcheson, starts in a loaded position and uses a short stride.  He has loose hands and quick bat speed, flat through the zone.  He hit mostly line drives to middle-pull side of the field.  Hutcheson has an exit velo of 75 and runs a 7.35 60.  On the infield, Hucheson a loose arm action with a long arm swing, fluid footwork and a quick exchange.  He makes accurate throws at 69 mph across the infield. 

Justice Hylton, LHP, Carl Junction, 2016
Hylton is a 5-foot-10 180-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher in the 2016 class.  Hylton ran a 7.35 60 and posted an 84 mph exit velo.  At the plate, he has a wide base and smooth load, power to the pull side and quick hands. In the outfield, Hylton plays through the ball with a good route and a high-three quarters release.  He has loose arm action with accurate throws at 73 mph.  During his bullpen, Hylton threw a high percentage of strikes, with a fastball working at 79-82 mph.  His breaking ball was a 2-to-8 slider at 70-71 mph with late movement.  His change-up was 73-74 mph that worked the bottom of the zone.  He has a smooth/repeatable delivery with a high three-quarters to over-the-top release.  Hylton hides the ball well and is able to work both sides of the plate. 

Kyle Johannsen, LHP, Hillcrest, 2017
Johannsen is a 6-foot-1 165-pound left-handed pitcher in the 2017 class from Hillcrest HS. Johannsen has an over-the-top release with a fastball between 64-67 mph.  His best pitch was a 1-to-7 breaking ball at 57-59 mph, down in the zone, thrown for a strike.  He showed a change-up at 61-62 mph with slight sink.  He has smooth rhythm in his delivery and throws with regular effort. 

Caleb Jonas, C, Fort Osage, 2016
Ca. Jonas is a 5-foot-9 170-pound right-handed hitting catcher/outfielder, he is also a right-handed pitcher in the 2016 class.  Offensively, Jonas runs a 7.47 60 and has an exit velo of 79 mph.  He starts from an open-athletic position and loads with a toe touch. His swing is flat through the zone, producing line drives to middle-pull gap in batting practice.  Behind the plate, Jonas has pop times between 2.06 and 2.19.  He has an over-the-top arm slot with a quick catch and release, positional velo at 72 mph.  In the outfield, Jonas posted an 80 mph throw, one of the top on the day, coming from an over-the-top arm slot.  He takes good routes to the ball and plays through the catch with momentum towards his target.

Connor Jonas, 3B, Fort Osage, 2016
Co. Jonas is a 5-foot-10 170-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher in the 2016 class.   Jonas runs a 7.72 60 and has a 76 mph exit velo.  At the plate, Jonas has an open stance and toe taps before he swings.  He has loose hands and accelerates through contact, using mostly a middle approach.  Defensively, he has quick feet and a clean exchange, gaining momentum towards his target.  He makes accurate throws at 78 mph. In the outfield, Jonas has an 83 mph positional velo, one of the top of the event, with an high-three quarters release. He has a quick exchange and plays through the catch.  On the mound, he works his fastball at 80-83 mph, one of the top velos for the event.  Jonas has a simple delivery, lifting his knees and hands together.  He has an over-the-top release and stays inline as he gets down the mound.  He showed a 12-to-6 breaking ball with late action at 67-70 mph, throws for a strike.  His change-up had arm side sink at 66-68 mph. 

Jake Lynn, OF, Rockhurst, 2017
Lynn is a 5-foot-9 160-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and second baseman in the 2017 class from Rockhurst.  Lynn runs a 7.37 60 and has an exit velo of 79 mph. At the plate, balanced stance, high leg lift, level path throught the zone.  In the outfield, high three quarters release, crow hop, clean exchange, quick release, 76 mph throws from the outfield.  On the infield, 71 mph positional velo, over the top release, mostly accurate throws, fluid footwork. 

Sam Marks, 2B, Staley, 2016
Marks is a 5-foot-9 150-pound right-handed hitting second baseman in the 2016 class.  Marks has an exit velo of 78 mph and runs a 7.06.  At the plate, he has a balanced stance, some hand load, level swing, mostly middle of field during batting practice.  On the infield, Marks has a over-the-top release, loose/quick arm action, clean exchange, positional velo at 82, top for the event, accurate throws. 

Devin Masek, SS, Fulton, 2017
Masek is a 5-foot-9 145-poumd right-handed hitting middle infielder in the 2017 class.  Masek runs a 7.03 and has an exit velo of 80 mph.  At the plate, Masek starts in a tall stance, has a reverse toe touch, strides in line, produced middle-to-oppo line drives during batting practice. On the infield, quick feet, clean three-quarters arm action, fluid exchange, soft/quick hands, positional velo at 72 mph, accurate throws. 

Cole McCarville, 2B, Kickapoo, 2018
McCarville is a 5-foot-8 140-pound left-handed hitting middle infielder from Kickapoo HS in the 2018 class.  McCarville ran a 7.99 60 and has a 68 mph exit velo, he starts with an open stance, load lower half and hands, loose hands, create bat whip, gap-to-gap approach, level swing to extension.  On the infield, athletic actions, over-the-top release, clean exchange, quick release, 70 mph exit velo.

Billy Meredith, OF, Aurora, 2016
Meredith is a 5-foot-10 160-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in the 2016 class from Aurora.  Meredith posted the best 60 time of the event at 6.74 and recorded an exit velo of 79 mph.  He has a gap-to-gap approach at the plate, starting from a wide stance and using a small stride, short path to contact. In the outfield, he has a positional velo of 83 mph, one of the best velos of the event, high three-quarters slinging-type arm action, take route behind the ball, plays through catch. 

Channing Mickey, OF, Webb City, 2017
Mickey is a 6-foot-1 210-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher.  He has a 93 mph exit velo, top of the event and ran a 7.22 60.  Mickey has an aggressive swing, uses a leg kick, strong lower half, quick hands to extension, high finish, mostly line drives to middle of the field. In the outfield, gets behind ball, plays through catch, over-the-top release, loose arm action, 82 mph positional velo, one of the top for the event, accurate throws. On the mound, posted to top fastball velo of the event at 84 mph, simple/repeatable delivery, lifts knee with hands, stays in line down the mound, high-three quarters slot, throws with some effort, 82-84 mph fastball, tight 12-to-6 breaking ball, 65-68 mph, 67-71 mph change-up. 

Tyler Miller, SS, Liberty, 2017
Miller is a 5-foot-9 148-pound right-handed hitting shortstop/third baseman in the 2017 class from Liberty MO.  Miller has an exit velo of 77 mph and runs a 7.59.  At the plate, he hit consistent line drive to the middle of the field during batting practice, loose hands, feel for the barrel, balanced set up, loads hands, balanced swing.  On the infield, has a positional velo of 77 mph, easy high-three quarters release, quick feet and quick release, plays through the ball, athletic actions. 

Zack Murphy, RHP, Kearney, 2016
Murphy is a 6-foot-2 160-pound right-handed pitcher in the 2016 class from Kearney HS.  Murphy has a slender frame with a loose arm action, topped at 84 mph, one of the best for the event.  During his bullpen, he threw a high-percentage of strikes with a fastball ranging from 81-84 mph, some with slight run, he had a 12-to-6 curveball, gradual break, and a 66-69 mph change-up with arm side sink.  He throws with easy effort and had body control throughout the delivery.

Carl Occhipinto, SS, Liberty North, 2017
Occhipinto is a 6-foot-2 190-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and right handed pitcher in the 2017 class from Liberty North. Occhipinto had one of the top 60 time for the event at 6.95 and recorded a 72 mph exit velo.  At the plate, he starts in a tall stance, simple load and small stride, gap-to-gap approach, level swing, short to contact.  On the infield, quick footwork, clean exchange, loose three-quarters release, accurate throws, 74 mph positional velo. 

Noah Ochoa, SS, Wanyesville, 2018
Ochoa is a 5-foot-7 155-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder in the 2018 class from Wanyesville.  Ochoa had an 83 mph exit velo and runs a 7.62 60.  At the plate, no wasted movement in load, walks away from hands, short stride, line drives to middle of field.  On the infield, 68 mph positional velo, over-the-top release, quick feet, quick release, mostly accurate throws.

Roland Ounanian, 3B, Lindbergh, 2017
Ounanian is a 5-foot-11 156-pound right-handed hitting third baseman/shortstop in the 2017 class from Lindbergh HS.  Ounanian runs a 7.28 60 and has an exit velo of 83 mph.  Ounanian has a smooth load, small stride and quick bat speed.  He had solid contact to both gaps with a level bat path to extension.  He is balanced throughout the swing with loose hands.  On the infield, he has a 78 mph positional velo, quick glove-to-hand exchange and release, over-the-top arm slot, make accurate throws. 

Brady Owen, SS, Willard, 2017
Owen is a 5-foot-11 155-pound right handed hitting shortstop/second baseman in the 2017 class.  He had one of the best 60 times of the event at 6.78 and has an exit velo of  77 mph.  During batting practice, Owens started from a balanced stance, had a controlled leg kick, square stride, and hit balls most to the left-center gap.  On the infield, Owen has quick feet and a three-quarters release, he made all the plays during evals, positional velocity at 74 mph, mostly accurate throws.

Isaiah Pani, C, Fulton, 2017
Pani is a 5-foot-11 190-pound right-handed hitting catcher in the 2017 class.  Pani runs a 7.60 60 and has an exit velo of 87 mph, one of the top for the event. At the plate, open stance, small stride, loads hands, drove balls to both gaps in batting practice.  Behind the plate, had pop times in the range of 1.94 and 2.03, 75 mph positional velo, mostly accurate throws, feet and hands work together, clean echange, clean glove-to-hand transfer. 

Davis Platt, SS, Staley, 2018
Platt is a 5-foot-10 150-pound right-handed hitting shortstop from Staley in the 2018 class.  Platt has an exit velo of 7.28 and an exit velo of 75 mph.  During batting practice, Platt showed feel for the barrel with consistent solid contact to the middle of the field, using a controlled leg kick, level path to extension and leverage in back leg.  On the infield, Platt has a positional velo of 74 mph, high three-quarters release, fluid footwork, mostly accurate throws.

Davie Pound, RHP, Rolla, 2018
Pound is a 5-foot-11 195-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher in the 2018 class.  He runs a 7.81 60 and has an exit velo of 82 mph.  At the plate, Pound starts in a balanced position, loads in back leg, minimal hand movement, controlled front leg lift, hit to mostly pull side.  In the outfield, fluid footwork and exchange, three-quarters release, 75 mph positional velo. During his bullpen, Pound worked his fastball at 71-75 mph, over-the-top release, 12-to-6 curveball, 58-63 mph, change up at 63-64 mph.

Kaden Rayman, SS, Fair Grove, 2019
Rayman is a 6-foot 185-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher in the 2019 class.  Rayman runs a 7.34 60 and has an exit velo of 83 mph.  At the plate, Rayman has a gap-to-gap approach, short stride, short bat path to contact, strong hands, and quick bat speed.  On the infield, Rayman has a positional velo of 77 mph, made all the plays, over the top release, quick feet, clean exchange.  On the mound, he was 74-78 mph with his fastball, with late run, change-up was consistently down in zone, at  70-73 mph, slight sink. He has a high three-quarters release, stays in line as he gets down mound, smooth rhythm and repeatable mechanics. 

Cole Roberts, 2B, Licking, 2016
Roberts is a 5-foot-11 160-pound right-handed hitting second baseman/third baseman in the 2016 class.  Roberts runs a 7.59 60 and has an 82 mph exit velo. At the plate, Roberts has minimal load and short stride.  He uses the whole field and stays balanced throughout his swing, level path to extension.  On the infield, Roberts has a high-three quarters release, long arm swing, fluid footwork, clean glove-to-hand exchange, plays through the ball. Positional velo of  77 mph. 

Dawson Roberts, 1B, Glendale, 2018
Roberts is a 5-foot-9 145-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and first baseman in the 2018 class from Glendale.  Roberts runs a 7.48 60 and has an exit velo of 78 mph. He is showing improvement in his numbers since his last event.  At the plate, Roberts has an open stance at the plate, smooth load, slightly uphill in shoulders, gap-to-gap approach and a balanced.  Has a positional velo of 68 mph in the outfield and at first base, has a high-three quarters release, plays through catch, mostly accurate throws from outfield.  At first base, has clean exchange fluid footwork.

Tanner Ryan, SS, Hillcrest, 2016
Ryan is a 5-foot-9 160-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder in the 2016 class. He has a  7.77 60 time and an 81 mph exit velo.  During batting practice, Ryan took an aggressive swing, strong lower half, hit balls to mostly pull side, level bat path, quick hands.  On the infield, high three-quarters release, arm works, fluid footwork, clean exchange, 76 mph positional velo. 

Hunter Sands, RHP, Rockhurst, 2017
Sands is a 6-foot-2 160-pound right-handed hitting outfielder from Rockhurst in the 2017 class. Sands runs a 7.51 60 and had and had an exit velo of 90 mph, one of the top for the event.  Sands has a smooth load with no wasted movement, short stride, level path through the zone, he squared up the ball to both gaps during batting practice.  In the outfield, over the top release, works behind ball, plays through catch, clean exchange, 73 mph positional velo.  At first base, fluid footwork, clean exchange, accurate throws.  During his bullpen, Sands worked his fastball at 75-79 mph, repeatable delivery, keeps shoulders level, throws downhill, stays in line, clean arm action.  Breaking ball is a 12-to-6 curveball at 60-61 mph, down in zone.  Change-up at 67-68 mph. 

Ben Shelton, 3B, Lee’s Summit, 2019
Shelton is a 5-foot-8 130-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher.  He runs a 7.88 60 and has an exit velo of 70 mph.  Shelton hit line drives mostly to the middle of the field during batting practice, some pull side, balanced set-up, quick toe tap, level path.  In the outfield, high three-quarters release, clean exchange and fluid footwork, 70 mph positional velo.  On the infield, 69 mph positional velo, quick feet, mostly clean glove-to-hand exchange, three-quarters arm slot.

Zach Shoemaker, LHP, Aurora, 2017
Shoemaker is a 6-foot-3 180-pound left-handed pitcher in the 2017 class.  Lean frame, loose/quick arm, throws with easy effort, slightly across body, repeats release point, three-quarters slot, high number of strikes, highly projectable.  Fastball is 77-80 mph, breaking ball is 2-to-8 slider with late action, throws for strike, 63-65 mph, change up is 68-71 mph, some sink.  Arm action and frame would suggest an increase in velo as he matures.

Gage Singer, 3B, Aurora, 2019
Singer is a 6-foot 170-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and shortstop in the 2019 class.  Singer runs a 7.63 60 and has am 84 mph exit velo.  During batting practice, singer was aggressive with the bat, loading in back leg and generating quick bat speed.  He has a high leg lift and drove ball to the pull side, mostly.  He has a level path to extension.  On the infield, over the top release, clean exchange with fluid footwork, accurate throws at 80 mph.  Singer is a player to keep an eye on in the 2019 class.

Zach Snodgrass, LHP, Carl Junction, 2016
Snodgrass is a 5-foot-9 155-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher. He impressed both as a position player and on the mound.  He runs a 6.94 60, one of the top of the event and had an 81 mph exit velo.  During batting practice, Snodgrass hit ball to mostly pull side, starts with weight loaded in back leg, uses a leg kick, quick hands.  In the outfield, posted an 85 mph positional velo, one of the top for the event, has quick feet, takes good routes, plays through the ball, high three quarters release, accurate throws.  On the mound, worked fastball at 82-84 mph, easy and controlled delivery, repeats release point, high percentage of strikes with three pitches.  12-to-6 curveball, late/sharp action, 67-70 mph, change-up at 73-74 mph, arm side sink. 

Colby Sullivan, 2B, Carl Junction, 2017
Sullivan is a 5-foot-7 120-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder in the 2017 class.  Sullivan ran a 7.53 60 and has an exit velo of 67 mph.  Sullivan has a balanced set up, loads with a high leg and hands, level path.  On the infield, quick feet, clean exchange, high three quarters release, 68 mph positional velo. 

Britton Tucker, SS, Bolivar, 2017
Tucker is a 6-foot 155-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in the 2017 class.  He runs a 7.44 60 and has an 80 mph exit velo.  He has a balanced set up, short stride, an level path at the plate. Randall Vinson, 1B, Kickapoo, 2016
Vinson is a 6-foot-2 190-pound right-handed hitting first basebman in the 2016 class.  He runs a 7.75 60 and has an 87 mph exit velo, one of the top for the event.  He has an athletic stance at the plate, with a smooth load, no wasted movement in the hands, short stride, creates good bat whip, with line drive to middle of the field.  On the infield, has 74 mph positional velo at firstbase, hands and feet work together, accurate throws, high three-quarters release.  On the mound, Vinson worked fastball at 76-79 mph, conventional delivery, high leg lift, over the top release, keeps shoulders working downhill during delivery.  Curveball is 60-62 mph 12-to-6 in shape, change up down in zone at 69-72 mph. 

Kole Watson, LHP, Kearney, 2016
Watson is a 6-foot-1 160-pound left-handed pitcher in the 2016 class.  Watson has a fastball velo between 78-79 mph, touching 82 mph on one pitch.  He has an over-the-top release, lifts knee with hands, and repeats release point, throwing a high percentage of strikes.  He has a 12-to-6 shaped curveball at 59-61 mph and a 70-71 mph change-up, with near fastball arm speed.

Andrew White, De Soto (KS), 2016
White is a 6-foot 175-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and second baseman in the 2016 class.  He runs a 7.19 60 and has a 76 mph exit velo.   White had a good round of batting practice with consistent solid contact gap-to-gap. He has a smooth load and rhythm, with level path through contact.  On the infield, he has a 78 mph positional velo, over the top arm slot, quick release, fluid footwork, accurate throws.
