Tyler Clark (Blue Springs South, 2016) is a 6-foot-3 185-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher in the 2016 and recently attended the 2015 Top Prospect Games on Aug. 9.

Clark's fastball touched 86 mph at the Top Prospect Games, working 83-to-85 mph.  He has a high 3/4 arm slot with a controlled/repeatable delivery. Clark throws with easy effort, keeps his shoulders level, and lands square to the target. His curveball was at 71-74 MPH with 12/6 tilt and sharp late break. Tyler also displayed a change-up that ranged from 71-72 with near fastball arm speed.

At third base, he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with mostly accurate and good carry. He has a clean exchange and quick fluid feet. His position velo was 77 MPH. At the plate, Clark has an athletic setup and a smooth load with a long stride. He uses his lower half well. Tyler’s swing produces gap-to-gap line drives and showed pull power. He had an exit velo of 87 MPH.

As Clark plays his fall season with KC Elite, he will also be visiting area schools and preparing to take the Jaguars back to the Missouri Final Four.  Here is a look inside the recruiting process for Tyler Clark.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)

Clark: I want to go somewhere where I can become the best pitcher I can be. Also somewhere with great faculties and a winning attitude and great academics.

PBR: How did you do your junior year? What were your high school statistics? And how did your team do? Name some players that will play a key role for Blue Springs South in 2016.

Clark: My senior year was a decent year. I did not have the season I wanted on the mound or at the plate. But I felt like a had a real good summer season. We ended up losing in the district championship to Raytown. Tyler McKay should be strong on the mound and Tyler Pittman and Will Hughes should have another great year at the plate.

PBR: What are you goals for your senior season?

Clark: We want to go to state and win it. I want to pitch and hit the best I can and help us achieve that goal.

PBR: What travel team do you play for? Are you playing fall ball with a team?

Clark: This summer I played for the Louisiana All Stars out of Baton Rouge. This fall I will be playing with the KC Elite.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

Clark: Basketball for my school

PBR: What are your ACT and GPA?

Clark: GPA is a 3.9 and ACT is a 27
