Tyler Pittman (Blue Springs South, 2016) is a 5-foot-7 180-pound right-handed hitting outfielder, and recently attended the Top Prospect Games on Aug. 9.
Pittman ran a 6.92 60, and had an 87 mph exit velo, both were among the top for the Top Prospect Games. He gets down the line in 4.44-seconds and showed power to pull gap in batting practice Pittman used mostly middle pull side, and had solid contact. He starts with an open stance, and has a quick/level bat path to extension. In the outfield, 82 mph positional velo, over the top release, loose arm action, catches ball in position to throw, flat throws, mostly accurate.
Pittman was a starter for Jags in 2015, leading them to a 21-10 record and batting .392. After playing the summer with the KC Sluggers, Pittman is playing fall baseball with KC Elite

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
Pittman: I want to go somewhere that will improve my baseball skills, have great facilities, good academics, and a winning mentality.
PBR: How did you do your junior year? What were your high school statistics? And how did your team do? Name some players that will play a key role for Blue Springs South in 2016.
Pittman: My junior year went really well, I hit .392 with a .461 slugging. I was a 2nd Team All-Conference and 2nd Team All-Area player. We went 21-10 and lost in the district championship to Raytown. Brigham Mooney will play a key role up the middle and on mound. Also look for will Hughes to have a good year at the plate.
PBR: What are you goals for your senior season?
Pittman: We want to win it all this year. And I just want to play to the best of my ability.
PBR: What travel team do you play for? Are you playing fall ball with a team?
Pittman: This past summer I played with the Kc sluggers. This fall I am playing with the Kc Elite.
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
Pittman: No I do not
PBR: What are your ACT and GPA?
Pittman: My ACT is 24 and GPA is 3.5
