Player Spotlight: OF Seth Fraley (Smith-Cotton, 2016)

Seth Fraley (Smith-Cotton, 2016) is a 6-foot-1 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. Fraley runs a 7.21 60 and has an 82 mph exit velo. He starts in open stance, has no wasted movement in load, and has a level bat path, with a gap-to-gap approach. Fraley swings with loose hands and maintains barrel. In the outfield, he has a 79 mph positional velo with loose arm action. He comes from a high three-quarters release, uses a row hop. He has a clean exchange, fluid footwork, and throws have carry that are mostly accurate.
Currently, Fraley is playing for the Sedalia Bombers this fall. Here is a look inside the recruiting process for Seth Fraley.
PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
Fraley: I'm looking for a school that is not too far away from home with high academics and a good business program.
PBR: How did you do your junior year? What were your high school statistics? And how did your team do? Name some players that will play a key role for Smith Cotton in 2016.
Fraley: My junior year of high school I batted .406 with no errors. I was named to our all conference and all district team. Smith cottons record was 21-5 we lost in the semifinals of districts to Jeff City. Some key players other than myself would be Nick Hagedorn, Gavin Jones, Chase Plymell, Dalton Zaremba, and Roberto Ramirez.
PBR: What are you goals for your senior season?
Fraley: My goals for my senior season are to improve in overall strength and speed. To maintain a high batting average. Keep my grades up and have no errors on the field. Score higher on the ACT. Play the game the right way and respect it most of all. Hustle everywhere on and off the field of I make a mistake don't make two. Those are just a few of the goals I've set for myself.
PBR: What travel team do you play for? Are you playing fall ball with a team?
Fraley: I am playing for the Sedalia Bombers 18u select team this fall.
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
Fraley: I played basketball up until last year at the varsity level. Now I am focused on my future in baseball.
PBR: What are your ACT and GPA?
Fraley: My GPA is 3.86 and I scored a 24 on my first attempt at the ACT and I plan to take it again.
