PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)

Westphal: I've always wanted to play baseball at the highest level I can so that will be an important factor. Also I want to attend a good academic school where I can get a respectable degree. I would like to major in business or sports management and when I graduate work in the front office of a major league team so I want to attend a school that will help me do this

PBR: How did you do your junior year? What were your high school statistics? And how did your team do? Name some players that will play a key role for Lutheran St.Charles in 2016.

Westphal: Last season we took 3rd in state for Class 3. We had some ups and downs at the beginning of the year and were able to overcome some adversity and finish the year strong. Some key players will be Johnny Hurayt who will be our best pitcher and be a major factor in the lineup and outfield. Also Kory Carter will be in the heart of our lineup and help us out offensively and defensively like he did last year

PBR: What are you goals for your senior season?

Westphal: Our goal as a team is to win a state championship. We have a lot of returning guys and there will be a lot of competition for spots which should make us better. Some personal goals for me are to be an All-State catcher and keep emerging as a leader on the team

PBR: What travel team do you play for? Are you playing fall ball with a team?

Westphal: This past summer I played for the St Louis Gamers and I am playing in the fall with them as well

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

Westphal: I am a WR and safety in football

PBR: What are your ACT and GPA?

Westphal: My GPA is a 3.92 and my ACT is a 29
