Multi-Sport Underclassmen
May 15, 2019
Athletes who play multiple sports are commodities. Coaches in any sport love it when a recruit participates in others. As we inch closer to the summer, here are some multi-sport underclassmen who should be followed closely as either future draft prospects or high-level college recruits.
Andrew Eppinger, OF, St. Johns Shrewsbury HS, MA (2020)
Eppinger is physical at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds. He runs well and his quick arm produces strong throws. At the plate, he sets up with a wide base and has long path, but shows the ability to spread the field. He is also the captain and leading goal scorer on the soccer team.
Kip Fougerousse, 3B, Linton Stockton HS, IN (2020)
Fougerousse boasts a strong, athletic frame at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds. The right-handed hitter has advanced feel in the box with plus bat speed and power potential. He has transformed himself into a solid defender with sure hands, body control and enough arm strength to stay on the left side of the diamond at the next level. The Indiana commit plays with confidence in all facets of the game. Fougerousse also excels on the hardwood. He helped lead Linton to the Class 2A championship game this year, averaging more than 11 points per game.
