SCOUT BLOG (LISTED ALPHABETICALLY)
Kenton Deverman, LHP, Fort Zumwalt West, 2023
Evansville signee and currently the 45th ranked prospect in the Missouri senior class. 6-foot-2, 175-pound lean-limbed, highly projectable athlete. Dominated for the Jaguars in their opener of the Columbia Tournament, punching out 11 over six scoreless frames, scattering two hits throughout. Continues to show some of the highest pitchability in the state, mixing in all three of his pitches consistently around the zone to disrupt timing. Has a 0.70 ERA over 30 innings of work on the year with 52 strikeouts to just four walks.
Joe Hall, OF, Liberty North, 2023
Uncommitted. Physical 6-foot-2, 210-pound frame, multi-sport athlete that’s also a football player. Turned heads in a win over Blue Springs South with a two hit, five RBI performance that included a beaming grand slam. Swings a loud right-handed barrel with inherent strength, still on the market.
Braden Hemmer, 3B, Hickman, 2023
Jefferson JC signee, ranked No. 30 overall in Missouri’s 2023 class. Strong, sturdy 6-foot, 190-pound frame. Swings a physical right-handed barrel with advanced raw strength, barreled two balls up with authority to both fields in this look. Has also been productive on the mound for the Kewpies this spring.
Brody Irlbeck, LHP, Staley, 2025
Iowa commit. Lean, lanky 6-foot, 165-pound frame with thin levers that project. Hurled four scoreless innings without allowing a hit last week, striking out six. Advanced feel for his secondaries, comfortable throwing them in all counts to all hitters. One of the top left-handed arms in Missouri’s sophomore class, currently ranked No. 22 overall.
Tommy Lapour, RHP, Blue Springs South, 2023
Cincinnati signee and the seventh ranked senior in the state. Large, physical 6-foot-3, 225-pound frame, starter’s look. Showed our staff loud stuff in a start on April 13th, running his fastball up to 95 in the first, while sitting mostly 90-93 mph with carry and life up in the zone. Landed a 76-79 mph slider for strikes, also showed one of the state’s most advanced splitters at 80-83 mph.
