Class of 2020 Showcase: Statistical Analysis

On Sunday, Oct. 14, we hosted the Class of 2020 Showcase at The MAX sports facility in McCook, Ill. Today, we’ll continue our event coverage by dissecting the showcase’s statistical standouts. Yesterday, we published a Quick Hits post, providing some rapid reactions to the 80 -plus prospects in attendance. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks when we break down the day’s performers, position by position.

Statistically speaking, OF Marc Babicz (St. Laurence) put together one of the event's more impressive performances. Babicz notched spots on the leaderboards in the following categories: 60-yard dash, exit velocity, and outfield velo.

Another outfielder, Brendan Holloway (Vernon Hills), landed near the very top of the leaderboard in exit velocity and also ran a top-five 60 mark. His top-of-the-order profile gives him some interesting next-level potential.

C/RHP Isaac Crabb (Harrisburg) was all over leaderboards on Sunday. His 85 mph fastball landed him near the top of the board and he also grabbed the top overall pop time. At the plate, he carries with him some power potential and his exit velo measurements help substantiate that.
