Season Outlook

The Panthers will have a solid nucleus returning from last year's team that finished 16-6 and won a district championship.  With the exception of one pitcher, the whole staff returns, but the Panthers will have to replace two-time All State catcher Treye Collins.  Mountain Grove will look to junior John Felker to take over behind the plate this spring and lead the experienced pitching staff.  The Panthers will have a pair of Honorable Mention All-Staters on the infield in seniors Hayden Newberry and Cade Coffman, while Conner McNew (OF) and Raleigh Wakfield (DH) return to the line up after earning All District and All Conference honors last year, respectively.  Watch for junior Dylan Massey to have impact in the outfield this year after being injured in 2017. Also watch for junior Dawson Hiler on the infield and senior Bailey Linton on the mound this spring for increased innings. This spring, the Panthers are ready to make some noise in the state tournament.
