14U PBR Tournament Recap

Prep Baseball Report Missouri/Kansas held the 14U PBR Tournament at Legacy Park in Lee's Summit, Missouri the weekend of April 28-29. This was a preliminary look at some of the top talent around the region. Many players will be selected for the Missouri and Kansas Jr. Future Games at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana in August. The St. Louis Gamers 14U defeated the Mac N Seitz Black Sox-Buchman in walk off fashion with a run in the bottom of the seventh in the 1st vs. 1st game to go 4-0 on the tournament.
This event is was loaded with talented players in the 2022 class from Missouri, Kansas and Illinois. Below is a look a just a few highlighted players from the event. Much more information can be seen by clicking on the tournament info page, with game scores and rosters. Each player that participated in the event will have a player profile. The tournament scoreboard is below.
Prep Baseball Report Missouri/Kansas will also host the MOKAN Summer Trials on June 19 in Fort Scott, Kansas. Players from that event will also be considered for the Jr. Future Games.

Corbin Bassham 1B / Olathe South, KS / 2022Bassham middle of the order left-handed hitter and at 5-foot-11 140-pounds has plenty of room add strength to athletic build. On the infield, Bassham has athletic actions with loose arm action that can play on both corner infield spots. |
Ryan Bibb RHP / SS / Mascoutah , IL / 2022Bibb at 6-foot 165-pounds was impressive on the mound and at shortstop, collected a pair of doubles on the weekend, quick bat speed, long at times, but showed some pop to the right side, at shortstop, lower arm slot with arm strength, athletic build, worked four innings on the mound showing command of fastball with four strikeouts and one walk. |
Ben Bybee RHP / 1B / Blue Valley Southwest, KS / 2022Bybee was an exciting player to watch all weekend. He turned in four inning an eight strike out and two walk performance on the mound, working at 81-82 mph and touching 84 He mph. At the plate, Bybee has power to pull side with a repeatable smooth stroke. He as a long-limbed build with strong levers that will attract several college recruiters early in his high school career. |
Jack Bryan C / RHP / Francis Howell, MO / 2022Bryan turned in a 3-for-3 performance with a double to start off the tournament. He is a right-handed hitter in the middle of the order an aggressive swing. Bryan was also effective in short relief roles throwing strikes in tough situations. |
Ryan Dierks 3B / OF / Rockhurst, MO / 2022Dierks is has a tall build for age with a high three quarters arm slot, challenged hitters with fastball with slight late sinking action, arm action and frame would suggest more command and velocity down the road.

Nick Dunn OF / Rockhurst , MO / 2022Dunn is well built and athletic with simple swing, he turned in a three-hit and four RBI performance in game two of the tournament and finishing with five hits on the weekend. Dunn has a strong arm with clean arm action in the outfield and also showed a smooth delivery in two innings on the mound in his teams fourth game. |
Andrew Evans 1B / Olathe West, KS / 2022Evans collected five hits in the three games he started. He showed a simple stroke with range in his swing and feel for the barrel. |
Nathan Fee-Wiley SS / RHP / Christian Brothers College, MO / 2022Fee-Wiley is an athletically built shortstop and right handed pitcher, worked an inning on the mound in the final game and showed some pop in the bat with a well hit ball to left field. |
Chase Hammond OF / Lee's Summit West, MO / 2022Hammond was spark in the lead off spot for MNS Black Sox-Gross, scoring four runs and collecting three hits on the weekend, he was time as fast ast 4.65 down the line and patrolled centerfield with good angles, athletic actions, and smooth arm action. |
Jackson Herbel 2B / Basehor, KS / 2022Herbel hit in the lead off spot all four games for his team, going 3-for-3 in game two and scoring a total of five runs on the weekend. On the infield, Herbel has smooth actions with accurate throws. Started game two on the mound going four innings with three strikeouts, he is a strike thrower with fastball and keep hitters off balance with occasional off speed. |
Colby Hoover RHP / 3B / Dora, MO / 2022Hoover has a mature build with plenty of strength both at the plate and on the mound. As a pitcher, Hoover was up to 83 mph and would throw an occasional breaking ball, going four-plus innings in his outing. He allowed no earned runs and just two hits with five strikeouts and four walks. He has fast bat speed and showed occasional pop to the pull side, with ability to go the other way. |
Grant Huebner OF / C / Edwardsville, IL / 2022Huebner come up big for the Gamers in 1st vs. 1st game with a walk off single to left field, Huber collected five hits, scored four runs and drove in two runs in the double header on Saturday. He contributed on the mound on Sunday with working a two innings in the final game 
with three strikes to help secure the 4-0 weekend for the Gamers. |
Kaden Jeffries 3B / RHP / Grain Valley , MO / 2022Jefferies is a well-built right-handed hitting third baseman. On the infield, he has a clean exchange with an over the top release making mostly accurate throws and at the plate, he has a middle to pull side approach showing occasional pop.

Cooper Kelly SS / RHP / Blue Valley Southwest, KS / 2022Kelly is a left-handed hitting shortstop with smooth and athletic actions. His feet and hands work together and are on time with exchange, he makes accurate throws across the diamond with momentum through the catch. At the plate, Kelly has a smooth lefty stroke that flashes some pop to the pull side. He has loose whip in his hands with bat control and good strike zone awareness. |
Brock Kobel SS / Lee's Summit West, MO / 2022Kobel had five hits during the four games, including three doubles, aggressive swinger in the middle of the order with bat speed and pop to pull side. Kobel also went five innings for the win in the opening game with four strike outs and one walk. |
Matt Lancaster C / Blue Valley West, KS / 2022Lancaster collected eight hits on the weekend and hit safely in all four games. He was 3-for-3 in game two and drove in three runs in game three. |
Michael Larson RHP / 3B / O'Fallon, IL / 2022Larson is a long and lean right-handed pitcher, he has a clean delivery with command of fastball, showed an occasional off speed, frame projects well with more increases as he continues to develop. |
Jackson Magargee C / SS / Kingsville , MO / 2022Magargee is a lean and loose left-handed hitting catcher. At the plate, his has work inside the ball with a gap to gap approach, body says under control. Behind the plate, he has a clean exchange with strong throws with carry, still developing physcially with plenty of room to add strength.

Miles McKenna 1B / LHP / Shawnee Mission North , KS / 2022McKenna is a tall and lean left-handed pitcher and left-handed hitter with a high ceiling. He is middle of the order hitter that has a middle of the field approach. On the mound, shows advanced pitchability with command of a change up. He is a strike thorwer with a controlled and repeatable delivery. McKenna went 5-plus innings allowing just one hit with three strikeouts and four walks. He allowed just one run. |
Ben Marshall RHP / 3B / Rockhurst, MO / 2022Marshall has a strong lower half that keeps in under control on the mound and at the plate. He has an aggressive swing with a level swing path that works to all fields. On the mound, Marshall has a clean and repeatable delivery.

Tate Moody SS / Bethany Lutheran, KS / 2022Moody is a strong and well built shortstop. Hitting in the lead off spot, Moody has a knack of getting on base working the count for several walks on the weekend. He also collected three hits including two doubles to left field and added three RBI against the Gamers. On the infield, Moody has quick actions and throws from a lower slot. She shows range with footwork and soft hands on exchange. |
Morgan Wilkins C / Lee's Summit North, MO / 2022Wilkins is a durable catcher and reached base safely in all four games, collecting five hits on the weekend. Moves well to block behind the plate with accurate throws with a top pop time of 2.56. |
Ayden Robinson-Wayne SS / 2B / Christian Brothers College, MO / 2022Robinson is a quick twitch athlete with smooth action at shortstop. He is a contact hitter at the top of the order that displays occasional pop. Robinson was timed at 4.45 home to first and ran a smooth 7.19 60 that projects to be faster down the road. On the infield, Robinson has range with clean exchange and clean arm action. |
Carson Wiser C / 3B / Carlinville, IL / 2022Wiser is a well-built catcher that showed off his offensive skills this weekend, he went 7-for-10 with four doubles and six RBI. |
