Southern Wisconsin Open: Statistical Analysis

Yesterday, Sunday, Oct. 21, we hosted our final showcase of the year at STiKS Academy: the Southern Wisconsin Open. Approximately 60 prospects from the area came out to perform in front of our PBR staff in an effort to head into the offseason on a high note.

There were some outstanding statistical performances to highlight, especially from the prospects representing the 2021 and 2022 classes.

In the post below, we’ve taken the time to shine a spotlight on all of the categories measured at Sunday’s showcase by ranking the top performers from each group. One name you’ll find at or near the top of each one of the categories he participated in was sophomore SS/3B Andrew Chapman (Waterford). The physical infielder applied his strength on throws across the infield as well as from the plate – he recorded the top exit velo mark of his class and tied the hardest overall infield velocity. His athleticism also bursted through in the 60-yard dash, where he ranked second.

The 2021 class produced another impressive statistical anomaly when three sophomore righties topped out at 85 mph on the mound, all tied for the highest at the event: Isaiah Cerfus (Union Grove), Grant Ross (Pewaukee), and Wilson Zuck (Appleton North).
