It's an odd year to say the least with counties and conferences across the state beginning their seasons at different times. With some already underway, we turn our attention to another that will open their season this week; the Bayside Conference. Inside the Bayside Conference there are 18 schools hailing from the following eastern shore counties: Kent, Queen Anne's, Talbot, Caroline, Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset, and Worcester. Furthermore, those schools are divided into two separate divisions; North and South. The season is set to begin this Friday, May 7th and each team will play roughly 10-12 games. Tentatively there is also a single elimination style tournament set up for the post-season in which the winner of the North and the winner of the South will square off for the collective Bayside Championship on June 16th. Below is the breakdown of the teams in each division as well as a complete "Watch List" of players you won't want to miss in action this spring. 

Note: A preseason questionnaire was sent out to all Maryland high school baseball coaches in Mid-January to gain pertinent information for this piece but not all forms were completed and returned. Below is a compilation of information received as well as thoughts from our staff at PBR Maryland.
