PBR Junior Future Games - Day 1 Review

Alex Armand
Louisiana Scouting Director

The 2021 Prep Baseball Report Junior Future Games kicked off yesterday, Wednesday 07/28/21, with a showcase style workout that included the top uncommitted 2025 and 2026 prospects from around the country.  Players participated in the 60 yard dash, defensive workout for both infielders, outfielders, and catchers, as well as a batting practice round.  Below, we take a look at some of the guys that stood out yesterday.  Be sure to follow us on social media over the next 3-4 days, as we continue to provide coverage!

-2026 SS/RHP Myles Ledoux (Barbe HS): We've had the opportunity to see Ledoux a handful of times and the bat always stood out.  Yesterday was no different.  Simple and balanced approach from the left side with gap to gap power; Ledoux turned the barrel well with a slightly uphill bat path.  Profiles as a top of the order bat and will be one to watch this week.

-2026 C Lane Mixon (Dunham HS): Mixon had a great start to his Future Games yesterday by showing well in batting practice and in the defensive portion of the day behind the plate.  Advanced footwork on throw downs to second base with a clean and quick transfer.  Throws were accurate to second base with back spin and carry.  At the plate, flashed gap to gap power with a compact LHH stroke.

-2025 1B/OF Mason Leblanc (St. Amant HS): Athletic and lean 6'0" 170 lbs. frame that will continue to fill out.  Leblanc had a nice BP round, staying behind the baseball a long time with a slightly uphill bat path and gap to gap power.  One to follow this week.

-2026 1B/RHP John David Alexander (Barbe HS): Alexander had one of the most impressive BP rounds of the day yesterday that saw him launch several balls, with one leaving the yard to the pull side.  His 6'3" frame projects nicely and the power will only continue to tick up.

-2025 3B/RHP Clayton Kimball (Central BR HS): Physical and imposing 6'3" 185 lbs. frame; Kimball stood out at one of our events back in June and he didn't disappoint yesterday.  Launched several balls yesterday during batting practice with a slightly uphill bat path from an upright stance, creating leverage, with pull side power.
