Louisiana 2023 State Rankings
December 21, 2020
The Louisiana 2023 Class, unfortunately, had their freshman season cut short last spring. Thankfully, our staff was able to get a good look at this class throughout the summer and this fall. When going through the rankings update, we realized the depth of this class, especially in the middle of the field. This class has shown LHP depth since its inception and that still remains the case. Four out of the Top 10 spots are owned by LHP's in Kade Anderson (1), Jake Brown (4), J.C. Vanek (5), and Riley Marcotte (7). This summer, Anderson, continued to show why he's the #1 ranked player in the 2023 state rankings and the #5 ranked player nationally. The southpaw from St. Paul's HS had a fantastic summer where he continued to pound the zone with his mid-upper 80's FB, while also showing an advanced CB with good spin and depth, as well as a late, fading CH. We also welcome one newcomer to the Top 10, in Cameran Christ (Live Oak HS). The LHH C had a good performance at the 2020 All-State Games, showing off an advanced hit tool, consistently squaring up balls to all fields during his BP round, as well as recording a triple during the game portion. Stay tuned over the next few days, as we continue to discuss the rest of this talented 2023 class.
