KY Co-Players Of The Week March 24-30
April 2, 2019
There were several worthy players nominated for the second Player of The Week award this season, in fact, as I combed through the players nominated, two players kept standing out, so for this week, we are selecting PBR Kentucky Co-Players of the Week.
In a matchup of perennial state powers, St. Xavier traveled to PRP last week for an early season rematch of last year’s first round state tournament game, only this time, senior RHP Dallas Glass made sure there would be a different outcome for the Panthers.
Pitching against a lineup with five Division I recruits, Glass dominated in a 4-0 PRP victory. The Western Kentucky recruit fired a complete game, one-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts to knock off the previously No. 1-ranked Tigers.
Not to be outdone, North Oldham junior shortstop Logan Beard put on an offensive show last week for the Mustangs, who after an opening season loss have won 10 consecutive games.
Beard, a Louisville commit, went 11-for-15 with 3 doubles, a triple, 3 HR, 12 RBIs and 8 runs scored. Beard has had no shortage of power this spring, already blasting 6 home runs in just the first two weeks of the season.
For their outstanding accomplishments on the field, Dallas Glass and Logan Beard have been selected as the PBR Kentucky Co-Players of the Week for March 24-30.
