PBR Georgia
Staff

Chase Alonso, SS/RHP, 2028
Alonso started on the bump today for team Georgia going 2 IP with 1 K and limiting Louisiana to two runs.He has a ¾ AA with mid depth. Alonso pounded the zone with his FB and threw an occasional CH to keep hitters guessing. Alonso has an EZ, repeatable delivery that gets on hitters quick. Alonso also barreled in a couple of RBIs for Team Georgia in the first. 6-foot, 170 pound frame with a small hand load and toe tap in stride. Strong wrists with a powerful upper half for age. Barreled a 2-run RBI triple, 94 EV(Drop 5), to extend Georgia’s lead to 3-0.

Gavin Greene, C, 2028
Greene is quite the hitter, I had the pleasure of watching him for several games in the 13U National Championship several weeks ago. He continued to hit this summer with an RBI single in the 5th inning to try and spark a rally for Team Georgia. 5-foot-7, 150 pound strong frame with MLB blood lines. Tall, narrow stance with a medium stride, makes strong contact through swing. As he continues his development, he will be an interesting follow to see how he takes the next step in his game.

Liam Collier, LHP/1B, RHP
5-foot-10, 168 pounds. Collier had an impressive day at the plate yesterday for Georgia’s Junior Future Games team and followed it up with a competitive outing on the mound today. Collier came in for a relief appearance and was able to catch hitters off balance. He showed a nice combo of FB and CB getting hitters to whiff. Collier displays a ¾ arm slot and can command the zone well. He will be a fun LHP to watch as he continues to develop.

Dominic Rossy, C/RHP, 2028
6-foot, 175 lbs. Rossy was solid on both sides of the field today. He was able to control runners from behind the plate making multiple notable stops. Rossy has a quick reaction time and a quick arm. On offense Rossy hit a single top of the first to start the 4 run inning for Georgia. Being lead off hitter, he was one to intimidate at the plate. A fun player to watch.

Malachi Butler, SS/2B, 2027
5-foot-9, 145 pounds. Butler played a big role in Georgia’s game 2 win against Arkansas. Butler displays his athleticism in all aspects of his game. He makes for a well-rounded infielder with a fluid left-handed swing. He displays a tight, connected swing that allows him to drive the ball to all fields. Butler found a pitch to hit in his second at bat of the day and smoked it up the middle to bring home 2 runs. This helped give Georgia a comfortable lead and go on to beat Arkansas 6-4.  Butler will be a fun player to watch from the 2027 class as he continues to develop.

Hudson Will, OF, 2027
6-foot, 160 pounds. Will was a solid contributor in Georgia’s game 2 win against Arkansas. Will is a lean, twitchy athlete that shows his skills in the field and in the batters box. Will has good range in the outfield as he was making all the routine plays in CF. In the box, Will roped a ball back up the middle to extend the inning for Team Georgia as they went on to beat Arkansas 6-4. Will has a well-sequenced load where he uses his hips, shoulders, and bat path all in unison as he barrelled the ball back up for a hard contact hit. Will is only going to get better as he continues to fill out his frame and get stronger. Will be a good player to keep an eye on from the 2027 class.

Jakob Gonzalez, RHP, 2027
Impressed in the box and on the mound thus far for Team GA, today it was on the mound. Jakob has intriguing projection paired with an athletic operation. His ability to sit in the backside and drive down the slope is impressive and points to him throwing harder as he continues to mature. His deceptive arm action allowed all his pitches to play up, making everything seemingly jump out of the hand. His FB sat 76/79 and played well with his big 65 MPH CB. Intriguing!
Miles Norman, RHP, 2027
Intriguing and projection are 2 things that came to mind when watching Miles. His 5-11 130 LB frame with plenty of growing and maturation to be done only makes him more exciting. Getting the start today for Team GA, he worked his FB/CH combo and flipped in a BB to keep guys honest. FB siting 72/75 and played well off his 62 MPH CH that was thrown with FB arm speed.
Matthew Westbrook, RHP, 2027
Westbrook turned a lot of heads in his outing today, where he displayed dominance, going 2 innings with 2 hits, 0 earned runs, and 3 strikeouts. He worked quickly and in a typical game, it is easy to see him going more than 5 innings. At 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, he has an XL build that will handle the next level well. His FB ran up to 88 with impressive spin, topping 2400 and has displayed the ability to hit higher numbers. The same can be said about his CB, which ran 72-74 with a max spin of 2584. With an advanced feel for these two pitches and his solid mechanics at such a young age, he’s a highly projectable arm as he continues to develop and improve.

Tyson Ganas, 2B, 2027
5-foot-9, 140 pounds. Short, twitchy frame with proportional athleticism. Ganas contributed today against Ohio as he had a hard hit single back up the middle to keep the inning alive. Defensively, Ganas has range as he was light on his feet and fielding anything that came his way. Ganas also impressed with his quick transitions and the makings of a developing arm that will only continue to get stronger as he fills out his frame with muscle. He will be a player to keep an eye on throughout the coming years as he continues to mature and develop into a better version of himself.

Jake Brannon, RHP/1B/OF, 2027
6-foot-1, 170lbs. Brannon has a tall, athletic frame and is a player that catches your eye on the field. Brannon entered with bases loaded and was able to stop runners from advancing. He dominated with his fast ball/ curve ball mix. Brannon was able to produce many swing and misses.

Jaylen Seabrooks, OF, 2027
A different level of athleticism in the box and a RH swing that is loaded with leverage and force in the hands and easy loft. Seabrooks has shown well all week, turning in one of the louder rounds of BP and it has carried into game play, going yard today to the pull side for a big HR to give GA the lead early.
