Inside the Florida 2019 Rankings: Risers
November 7, 2018
On Monday, we officially updated and revised the Florida Class of 2019 Rankings to reflect all of the news and notes we’ve taken and received on the senior class over the summer and fall. Today, we are going to take a closer look at top prospects, by seeing which previously ranked prospects have seen their stocks rise the most headed into the winter months.
We covered one of the highest risers in Monday’s post, when we broke down the top-10 rankings: INF Tyler Callihan (Providence; South Carolina commit). Callihan is up to No.4 from No. 9, his highest ranking since being ranked No. 3 a year ago. Callihan put together an outstanding fall. He was one of the top prospects at the Florida Diamond Club Showcase and Jupiter, where he did what he always does, hit. Aside from that, Callihan generated buzz from Diamond Club when he hopped behind the plate to catch two innings. Callihan’s left-handed bat combined with catching potential has him shooting up draft boards.
