Newcomers
Remo Indomenico LHP / OF / St. Ignatius, IL / 2025Illinois State Games - 8/10/22 |
Francisco Rodriguez SS / OF / De La Salle, IL / 2025ACE Scout Day - 9/17/22UITL Francisco Rodriguez (De La Salle, 2025) made a strong first impression on our staff both at the plate and on defense. The 5-foot-11, 153-pound, athletically-built, right-handed hitter has a polished swing and middle of the field approach. Rodriguez stays on balance throughout his swing and gets the barrel out front efficiently and on time. The bat path is short and direct to contact with flashes of some juice to the pull side. Rodriguez continued to impress in both the outfield and infield with quick and clean footwork and natural ease and confidence to his game. He has a calm approach to the ball and soft hands with athletic overall actions. 2025 to know moving forward. Currently ranked No. 51 in the state.

Gavin Triezenberg SS / 2B / Brother Rice , IL / 2025Illinois State Games 8/10/22INF Gavin Triezenberg (Brother Rice, 2025) has added quality strength and maturity to his now 6-foot-2, 180-pound frame. Triezenberg has long had athletic infield actions and his bat continues to take strides. Triezenberg collected three hits on day two of the event, with one being a double. He also stole a base, scored a run and drove in two. Currently ranked No. 55 in the state.

Angel Castro C / 1B / De La Salle, IL / 2025Ace Scout Day - 9/17/22C Angel Castro (De La Salle, 2025) inserted himself into the mix as a prospect to keep close tabs on in the class of 2025. Castro has a confident aura about him with a relaxed presence at the plate with controlled movements, yet the ball still explodes off the bat when he is on time. His swing is easy and on plane and projects to have power to all fields down the road. He made hard gap-to-gap contact throughout his batting practice. Defensively he has calm, clean actions and quick exchange. The arm is loose and throws play true with accuracy on the bag. His top pop time was 2.12 on the day. Currently ranked No. 56 in the state.

Tyler Dowling 2B / RHP / Bloomington , IL / 2025Underclass Showcase - 10/16/22Positional Profile: INF Currently ranked No. 57 in the state.

LHP/OF Remo Indomenico (St. Ignatius, 2025) attended the event as a two-way prospect but his ceiling may be highest on the mound where he showed a clean, upside arm and fastball that topped at 83 mph to go along with a three-pitch repertoire. The polished delivery and clean arm lead one to believe there is a lot more to tap into down the road.
Currently ranked No. 48 in the state.
