Central Florida Trials: Quick Hits and PAS Invitees

The Central Florida Trials took place on Saturday, January 19th at Henley Field in Lakeland. The players took part in a pro-style workout which included a 60, defensive and offensive evaluations as well as live bullpen evaluations. The Trial gives the PBR staff to help identify and cover players prior to the spring and look to finalize the Preseason All State Roster. Ben Brown,3B/OF,North Port HS (2021)- Brown showed athletic actions in the infield, moving well with rhythm and hands working well. Offensively, he also worked with rhythm and compact through the zone.
Hayden Reed. MIF. IMG Academy (2020)- Reed showed solid defensive actions where he works under control and feel for the position. Offensively, stood out with quick hands and a compact and level swing.
Gabe Garrett, MIF, Bloomingdale (2021)- While Garrett is still young and undersized, he gets the most out of his current tools, especially defensively. Quick first step and overall above average defensive potential. Offensively, the swing is level and has present bat speed and upside.
