Class of 2018
Matthew Killian
Rank: 28th in New England's 2018 Rankings
Scouting Report: Super athletic right-handed hitting outfielder standing 6-foot-2, 180-pounds. Matt has plenty of tools and the skill set to be a high level Division 1 guy. Needs to be a bit more aggressive with the bat in the game, looks like, at times, he is just trying to make contact. He needs to cut it loose. The setup is even and he has some bat wiggle but the path is short and simple. Ran a 6.96 and has more in the tank with his running, as I’ve seen him better. In the outfield, he is reliable and gets off the ball very well. Has enough arm strength to play an of the 3, as he threw 85 mph from out there. I like the skill set, would like to see him let it come out in the game. Very interesting guy to follow. He pitches as well, something to see, in my opinion, as he has feel on the mound.
College Outlook: Plus athlete who can play all 3 outfield positions. Once the bat comes around in the game, he is a no-brainer centerfielder at the next level
Receiving Interest: Division 1
