In the winter of 2016 PBR Colorado released our first ever 2020 rankings which consisted of 40 players. In the past two years Prep Baseball Report Colorado has had the opportunity to cover amateur baseball like no other organization has ever been able to do before in the state of Colorado. Between scouting numerous games last spring and summer, and having a great opportunity to see more 2020 grads at the Underclass Invitational in January, and the Top Prospect Games last summer. We were able to move our 2020 ranking list to 125 players. Our next big 2020 rankings update will be posted after the spring season.

Colby Shade OF / OF / Fort Collins, CO / 2020Rankings OverallRank: 170 / POS: 28
Committed to Virginia. 6-foot-1, 165-pound right hand hitting OF. Fast-twitched player. High hips stood out, looks like there is a lot more room to grow. Probably will end up 6-foot-4, 190 pounds. Very athletic. Lower half is solid through the zone. Pull-side power right now. Gets good extension through the ball and after. Exit velocity was 85 mph. In the field he glides to the ball, he is aggressive fielding through the ball and delivers an on target throw. Very athletic and uses his speed to close the gap on balls. Arm is accurate to the bag. Arm velocity was 85 MPH.

Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 190-pound right hand hitting C/1B. He is a strong athletic catcher who had pop-times of 1.90-1.95. He sets up well behind the plate and has smooth athletic actions on balls in the dirt. He throws from an over the top arm slot with accuracy to the bag. Arm velocity was 76 MPH. At the plate hits with an uphill swing path and power to the left center gap. Starting right now behind plate for Valor Christian.

Lucas Quezada RHP / 1B / Heritage High School, CO / 2020Rankings OverallRank: 218 / POS: 54
Uncommitted. 6-foot, 180 pounds. Bats left, throws right. Closer to 5-foot-10, but everything is super effortless, and he repeats it in an advanced manner given his age. Arm is quick, and he painted his fastball from side to side down in the zone. Fastball is 85-87. Stays linear. Throws a straight changeup with fastball arm speed for strikes and a slurve that has 11/5 shape at 72-73 mph, but is still developing. Change is 74-75 mph.
