Colorado Class of 2022 Rankings Updated
April 17, 2020
The PBR Colorado 2022 Player Rankings have been updated. In the last 5 months PBR Colorado has worked diligently to identify and evaluate this talented group of 2022’s. This class has QUALITY and QUANTITY. PBR Colorado has used valued PBR Staff, Scouts, Past and Current HS Coaches and Past and Current Club Coaches as resources to update and add to this list.
It is safe to project that our Top 15 players could be interchangeable and have movement within our rankings as they develop. This 2022 class is going to produce Quality prospects and performers at all collegiate levels.
SS Dylan Carey (Mountain Vista) is our #1 prospect in the updated rankings. The athletic SS demonstrates an attacking approach as a hitter with confidence. Projects ability to hit for AVG and potential power with Gap to Gap approach. His great hands and movements give him a chance as a big collegiate SS, but could find himself at 3B.
SS Dallas Macias (Regis Jesuit) is our #2, only because we don’t list a 1A. This switch hitter 2 Way player is a competitive winner. He can help on the mound with his 86+ FB and pitchability and displays great range at SS. The Oregon State commit has versatility and a great feel for the game.
LHP Tyler Mejia (Mountain Vista) pulls in our #3 spot. The uncommitted LHP will be in high demand with his developing FB at 83+. He was poised to be the highlights of the Colorado HS Season for highly ranked Mountain Vista. Tyler is easily projectable with his High 3⁄4 release and late action CB/SL and very deceptive CH.
South Carolina commit, RHP Nicolas Yard is at #4. His heavy FB 88 with easy arm action projects to higher velo and demonstrated above avg off speed. PBR Hot List member, RHP Trevor Moore, Mullen, continues to trend and develop upward and is ranked at #5. Trevor’s refined and confident demeanor only add to a 90 FB that pounds the zone.
Today, we start with our Top 65, with the hopes of adding to this list as baseball resumes:
