With than in mind Prep Baseball California is highlighting some of the top uncommitted class of '26 athletes. The player featured today is one of the top players in the state of California and figures prominently in our Class of 2026 Rankings. All players featured within our Uncommitted Spotlight series are ones that college coaches and fans should be keeping their eyes on over the coming months.

We invite you to get to know them through the eyes of our Prep Baseball California staff of scouts both through our in person looks at players and/or the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, and Swift Performance provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on the number 82 ranked player in the 2026 class in SoCal '26 RHP/OF Tristan Ramos from Orange Lutheran High School. Ramos presents a strongly built frame at 5'11 205 lbs. with present strength in his lower and upper body. Ramos put together a strong showing in the spring high school season which he backed up with a strong performance at the Future Games Tryout: VTA County and the West Coast Program Invite to keep his stock on the rise.

Ramos attacks hitters with feel for an intriguing 3-pitch arsenal that shows a present quality foundation with room to continue adding polish to his feel for the arsenal as he matures. With an athletic operation that moves down the mound with intent and quick arm speed he presents a potential starters profile with a leverage reliever fallback. Ramos demonstrates the ability to maintain direction in the delivery by efficiently using his lower half and the ability to block his lead leg. During his outing at Future Games Tryout: VTA County he worked off a FB that sat at 87-89 while touching 90 MPH with an ability to ride the FB above barrels, 21" of IVB at peak while averaging 19.5" of IVB. His quality present FB leads his arsenal, but Ramos shows feel for both a solid SLD that works at 76-79 consistently. The shape of his SLD is more of a sharp tight offering with top end spin rates as he reaches nearly 2800 RPMs at the peak while averaging right around 2700 RPMs. Ramos rounds out his arsenal with a SPLT at 75-77 which he flashes present feel to throw for strikes while effectively killing spin on this offering into the 800 RPM range.

As good as Ramos' profile is on the mound don't discount what the strongly built RH hitting OF can do on the position player side. With a versatile OF defensive profile he shows the athleticism (7.1 60 - 19.5 MPH max run speed) and the present arm strength with carry to his throws reaching 80 MPH with ease. Ramos takes an aggressive, but balanced swing showing tilt in the finish and ability to stay behind the baseball at contact with feel for the barrel that shows well both on Blast Motion and Trackman with the data he generates. His swing shows present quickness to his bat speed (73.3 MPH) and with his hands (21.1 MPH) while generating impressive torque in the turn (21 G's of rotational acceleration). With the present quality foundation of his swing and emerging approach/timing Ramos collected multiple hits in the game play portion of the Future Games Tryout: VTA County while also taking an impressive batting practice. Ramos reached a peak of 101.1 MPH on exit velocity while averaging 91 MPH with 50% hard hit rate and sweet spot rate.

Ramos is preparing for his JR. campaign for the national power Orange Lutheran program where he will look to build on a Soph. campaign where he got a bulk of his work on the mound, but did get a taste of hitting against the top level competition that Orange Lutheran faces both in non-league action and the elite Trinity League competition. He will look to again figure in a prominent place for Orange Lutheran as they look to put together a strong 2025 CIF High School season next spring while chasing Trinity League, CIF and potential national prominence. With his arrow pointed up Ramos is a name that should have eyes firmly fixed on him as a talented uncommitted '26.
