Ventura, Calif. - The Uncommitted Spotlight Series takes a dive back into the 2025 class as this class is inching closer to their final seasons of High School baseball there are still several talented uncommitted players in this class who our staff has had the opportunity to see compete. Our player today was standout performer at one of our recent Fall Uncommitted Games Series of events in locations around the state including NorCal, Orange County and Ventura County.

We invite you to get to know the players featured here through the eyes of our Prep Baseball California staff of scouts both through our in person looks at players and/or the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, and Swift Performance provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we head back up North to put the spotlight on a strong performer from the NorCal Uncommitted Game event for the 2025 class in SoCal '25 OF Cyrus Nabavi from Del Oro High School. Entering the event Nabavi was coming off a JR. campaign at Del Oro High School which saw him garner significant playing time while showing the flashes of his potential. Nabavi hit .277 with a penchance for getting on base including a .396 OBP while scoring 13 runs and driving in another 10 runs in a total of 28 games while reaching base 9 times by walk and 8 times by hit by pitch.

Defensively, his present athleticism including a 6.82 60 time that includes 1.65 10 yard and 3.81 30 yard splits with a top speed of 20.4 MPH with sound actions to his footwork, angles and glove give him a CF defensive profile. His arm strength probably limits him to LF should he have to move off CF, but he gives plenty of indications that he can stay there long term.

The RH hitting OF has a physical build at 5'11 and 207 lbs which builds into his offensive profile. During BP he showcased an intriguing swing with so average bat speed at 73.1 MPH while peaking at 79.9 MPH which gives him plenty power potential from the impact he can generate with that type of present bat speed. As well, he shows quickness to his hands and the ability to use them in the swing averaging 19.3 MPH and peaking at 21 MPH on his hand speeds. His turn is solid with present ability to build up to his top bat speed with a peak of 14.4 Gs of max rotational acceleration while averaging 10.5 Gs. The foundation of an explosive swing played into the quality of his batted ball data during batting practice where he displayed a sound present approach with feel for hard contact. Nabavi peaked at 97 MPH on his exit velocity with an average of 87.9 MPH. As well, he demonstrated consistency getting the baseball in the air with a 66% Fly ball/Line drive rate in his contact quality.

Nabavi figures to be a prominent piece of the Del Oro High lineup in his SR. campaign where he will look to build upon his solid JR. campaign. With athleticism, strength and a potential premium defensive profile that all combine with some impressive offensive potential Nabavi is a name to keep eyes on for college programs still looking for bats in the 2025 class.
