NORTHERN CALIFORNIA - We have the Northern California ProCase scheduled for June 13... obviously there are caveats with all future plans, based on which facilities in which counties can/are willing to host events. The format could change relative to what we normally do, but we are making plans for when we are given the 100% go ahead. As such, we are also working to be conscious of other opportunities players have and future events they may be attending, so positioning this event within their schedules is very important to us.
Now, on to some of the players we expect to have in attendance... today we list 10 pitchers, fudging on the 9 aspect of #Norcal9 just a bit...
(Listed alphabetically - Click the link to the profile to see bio info & reports/videos/stats)
+ RHP Kyle Bender - Vacaville HS (Washington) - We saw him real good at the Area Code tryout last summer, with upper-80s stuff and a CB that honors his very pitcher-ish last name
+ RHP Tucker Bougie - Tamalpais HS (Cal) - One of the pitchers I got to see this spring and one I am most excited about. Got up to 90 mph, flashed both a usable SL and CB, and the 6-3, 200-lbs is nice
+ RHP Steve Brooks - Cosumnes Oaks HS (Uncommitted) - At our January preseason event he wowed us. At 6-6 185-lbs he looks the part; the FB flashed up to 87, along with a tight CB
+ RHP Sky Jones - St. Francis HS (Uncommitted) - Been a long time since we've seen him live, but the videos we're getting of him during this pause are encouraging, upper-80s stuff, strong 6-1 200-lbs
+ LHP Jack Nilsson - Lincoln HS (Oregon) - Lanky at 6-2 175-lbs, he's already flashing a FB (up to 88 mph) that puts him firmly in the projectable lefty conversation. Low-mid-70s CB, easy to dream on
+ LHP Mason Oakley - Acalanes HS (St. Mary's) - A member of the underclass Area Code team last summer, Oakely has a power arm, with a heavy FB up 89 this spring and a BIG/HARD 78 mph CB
+ RHP Gavin Ochoa - Casa Grande HS (Long Beach St.) - Electric comes to mind when seeing the 6-2 lean-bodied Ochoa. Lower slot and explosive movement, up to 90 mph w/a +CHG & quality CB
+ RHP Jake Sapien - Buhach Colony HS (Stanford) - Like a few others on here, he's also a position player (3B). On the mound we've seen a very fast and loose arm, stuff around 90 & a snappy CB
+ RHP Tonko Susac - Jesuit HS (Arizona) - Top-ranked RHP in Northern CA, has run his FB up to 94 mph, regularly pitches in the 90-92 range, w/a tight snappy SL & the CHG is developing into a + pitch
+ RHP Ty Uber - Ponderosa HS (Stanford) - At 6-3, 225-lbs he looks the part & better yet, at that size he remains very athletic. Fastball has been up to 90+ and the CB has got a chance to be above avg
