Prep Baseball Arkansas hosted the annual Natural State Games on October 15th in Conway Arkansas at the University of Central Arkansas.  The Natural State Games featured 44 players from all across the state with players coming from the 2024 class to a couple up and coming prospects in the 2027 class.  The event featured laser timed 60s, BP rounds with data collected by Trackman and Blast Motion, defensive evaluations with arm strength metrics, and finished up with live hitters vs pitchers with the pitching data collected by Trackman.  We will have more in the coming days on leaders with the metrics and data captured at the event, but today we take a quick look at some of the notes from 15 standouts from the event.

Landon Schaefer SS / RHP / Fayetteville, AR / 2025 Razorback commit, Landon Schaefer showed a fluid swing with repeatable movements producing consistant line drives in batting practice and in live at bats. Defensively he moves efficiently with one of the top arm strengths at the event.

Peyton Coffman C / RHP / Russellville, AR / 2024 Two way player that showed a physical frame with swing and miss stuff off the mound. Behind the plate Coffman showed an advanced ability to receive with catch and throw consistancy. Strength with leverage at the plate, Coffman had an impressive day.

Shaun Cover 3B / 3B / Conway, AR / 2026 FG participant, Cover showed a mature approach offensively with power to all fields. Defensively he has active feet and an abundance of arm strength. Off the mound Cover displayed a swing and miss slider.

Owen Davenport LHP / OF / Conway, AR / 2026 High end left handed arm with swing and miss breaking ball. Davenport showed signs of control in the zone with an angled fastball that produced swings and misses. Davenport will continue to enduce swing and misses as he continues to develop.

Dylan Gibson OF / 3B / Har-Ber , AR / 2024 With physical strength improving Gibson had a strong outing in the event. Definitive pull side power along with advanced strike zone awareness in live at bats, Gibson is continuing to improve each time we see him.

Max Holland C / 2B / Conway, AR / 2026 Advanced catch and throw with arm strength. Easy actions behind the plate, Holland shows a mature skill set. Offensively Max has a controlled setup with consistent path to contact to go with loud contact and power to the pull side.

Major Jackson OF / RHP / Pulaski Academy, AR / 2026 Major continues to get more physical each time we see him. Consistent barrels  in batting practice with increasing power to all fields, Jackson is one to watch as he continues to mature.

Carter Morris OF / 1B / Fayetteville, AR / 2025 Physical athletic build, Carter found lots of barrels in batting practice and in live at bats. Morris has an advanced approach to how he works and continues to add strength.

Ethan Norris RHP / 1B / Newport, AR / 2025 One of the few three pitch mixes and ability to control the zone with all three. Norris has a boaring fastball with two different breaking balls. Norris can really pitch and proved it in his live at bat session.

Trystan Newberry LHP / OF / Russellville, AR / 2026 Newberry has filled out his frame and it is showed in event. Simple swing with repeated barrels and gap to gap power taking an easy BP. Off the mound Newberry had one of the highest velocity fastballs in event. Three pitch mix that shows tunneling capabilites with a swing and miss curveball at times. Clean arm swing with much to like as he continues to progress.

Madden Tatum OF / SS / Valley View, AR / 2026 FG participant, Tatum had a great day at the plate. Long levered swing with consistant hard contact to the middle of the field. Tatum continues to impress each time we see him.

Willy Voss SS / OF / Conway, AR / 2026 Long lean frame with easy actions, Voss showed a clean repeatable swing throughout BP and in live at bats. Strength will be Voss's friend as he continues to develop.

Luke Weatherley C / RHP / Jonesboro , AR / 2027 Strong armed 2027, Weatherley had a solid day. Luke not only has the physical features but also the intangibles. Legitimate two way talent that will continue to impress as he continues to mature.

Brody Nash SS / 2B / Conway, AR / 2026 Athletic and versatile Nash presents potential for a high end prospect. Nash repeats his movements at the plate producing consistent line drives throughout BP.

Cooper Bode OF / 1B / Brookland , AR / 2026 Throw back sweet swinging left handed swing. Bode can hit and its easy producing consistent line drives with ease. Bode is a one to watch as he continues to add strength to his frame.
