Central Region Senior Future Games: Game One Takeaways

On Thursday, July 25th, the Central Region’s Senior Future Games squad matched up against the Upper Midwest group at 8:00 AM on Field 16. Several prospects from the Central Region, which include Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri showed well in the contest, and you can learn more about that below.

+ The loudest showing of the day belonged to OF Kyler Schuessler (Shawnee Mission East, KS, 2025), who jumped on the first pitch he saw of the event and deposited it over the left-center wall for a home run at 102.3 mph off the bat. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound right-handed hitter took a loud round of BP on Wednesday night, squaring his hardest ball up at 101.5 mph, while averaging 94.6 mph per batted ball. 


+ The Central Region’s starter was 6-foot-2, 210-pound RHP Jayde Taylor (Valley View, AR, 2025), who threw well in his two innings on the bump. Taylor’s fastball touched 88 mph, pitching at 85-87 mph, and he worked on both sides of the plate. His bread-and-butter is a tight, aggressive breaking ball that peaked at 81 mph, pitching in the upper-70s, and offers swing-and-miss upside at the next level. 


+ RHP Braxton Graber (Rogers Heritage, AR, 2025) turned in a strong two-inning look in game one. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound uncommitted senior is an athletic mover down the mound with a quick arm, pumping his fastball at 85-88 mph. Off that, Graber spun a breaking ball that flashed tight spin at 75-77 mph, and he also turned over a changeup at 85-86 mph. 


+ OF Eli Sitzer (Pembroke Hill, MO, 2025) turned around an inner-half fastball and barreled it off the left-center field wall for a double in his first at-bat that registered at 94.5 mph on TrackMan. An upside 6-foot-3, 185-pound athlete, Sitzer ran a 6.78 60 with a 1.62 10-yard split last night and is a high academic uncommitted follow. 


+ OF Brady Nolen (Festus, MO, 2025) led his day off with a single to right field. Nolen’s one of the premier uncommitted athletes in Missouri’s senior class; he ran a 6.56 at yesterday’s workout with a 1.57 10-yard split, jumped 32.9 inches in the vertical, and stole two bases in Thursday’s game. 


+ C Crew Norden (Rock Bridge, MO, 2025) continues to show noticeable raw bat strength. Plenty physical in stature at 6-foot, 210-pounds, Norden barreled his first ball of the day at 102.7 mph to the opposite field. 


+ MIF Jacob Wehba (Westmoore, OK, 2025) is a scrappy, gamer-type prospect to follow from Oklahoma. Wehba sprayed a single to right field for his lone hit of the contest and is a clean, sure-handed defender on the infield that can adequately play multiple positions.
