Arkansas Class of 2026 Rankings: Update

By: Prep Baseball Arkansas Staff

With the spring season at a close, our staff has updated the Class of 2026 rankings as the summer circuit is set to start shortly. It’s a modest update, as we’ve briefly expanded our list as we continue to gather more and more information on the state’s 2026 class as a whole.

Below you will learn more about some names at the top of our rankings, as well as a few name-to-know prospects that are on the rise heading into an integral summer.

THE TOP-10

There’s no movement at the top, with the top-10 staying intact from our previous update. Seven of those 10 names remain uncommitted heading into a pivotal summer and should begin to draw plenty of collegiate attention, especially after August 1st.

RANK   NAME STATE SCHOOL CLASS POS COMMITMENT
1 Keaton Mathis AR Valley View 2026 C Arkansas
2 Marcus Bates AR Benton 2026 SS Arkansas
3 Owen Roach AR Valley View 2026 OF
4 Shaun Cover AR Conway 2026 3B
5 Bowman Stein AR Little Rock Catholic 2026 OF
6 Trystan Newberry AR Russellville 2026 LHP
7 Madden Tatum AR Valley View 2026 OF
8 Owen Davenport AR Conway 2026 LHP
9 Parker King AR Valley View 2026 OF Memphis
10 Levi Martin AR Pocahontas 2026 RHP

ON THE RISE…

We do have a new name debut towards the top of our list, as LHP Daxton Hammett (Harmony Grove) cracks these rankings for the first time at No. 12 overall. The long, loose-bodied, and athletic multi-sport follow impressed our staff in a look this spring, pumping his fastball at 85-88 mph with big bend on a low-70s breaking ball.

+ Coming off a strong season for the Panthers, one that he earned All-State honors, INF
Jacob Murray (2026) is on the rise in this update and is now at No. 13 overall. The strong right-handed hitter tacked on more muscle to his frame, now standing at 6-foot-1, 185-pounds, and added impact at the plate as a result.

+ OF
Dominic Cicero (Little Rock Christian) climbs up our board as well in this update after a productive spring for the Warriors. The left/left outfielder has present power at the plate and more to come as he continues to tack on strength to his frame. Cicero’s an easy, in-rhythm mover in the outfield too, completing a well-rounded skill set.

+ There is no shortage of raw power or bat strength within the 6-foot-5, 215-pound frame that OF/1B
Max Conine (Pulaski Academy) possesses. The highly physical soon-to-be junior owns some of the louder right-handed juice in the class and is one to watch as he continues to get more at-bats under his belt.
