Week End Round Up: Mid America Tournaments

Mid America Tournaments hosted a three day tournament at Arkansas State University and various high school fields in the area over the week end. Solid competition from across the four state area. Below you will find some scout notes from the week end along with scores from each day.
Arkansas Extreme defeated the Extra Innings Sticks 8-4 in the championship game. 2018 RHP/MIF Bryce Dodd from Clinton picked up the victory on the mound. He competed in the strike zone with a three pitch mix keeping hitter off balance.
2017 Tyler Moreland pitched off his fastball for three innings of work. His fastball was 85-87 mph, he complimented the fastball with a slider of 78-81 mph that he used to put hitters away. He struck out 7. Moreland impressed offensively as well driving balls to the pull side. Overall a large framed (6-foot-3 190-pounds) physical athlete with a projectable ceiling.
2017 Issac Disney played well for the Prairie Grove Generals. A plus runner (3.93 home to 1st) showed an average arm and solid defensive instincts. Offensively showed barrel control and average bat speed.
2017 OF Bryson Haskins had a good offensive week end recording multiple hits in each game, I saw. He is a versatile athlete with bat speed, that appears to be getting better, finding barrel on a more consistent basis.
2019 LHP Zach Morris Cabot HS pitched a complete game with 7 strike outs. He commanded the strike zone with his fastball 81-83 mph with late sink and a solid curveball 1/7 action with late break.
