Updated and Expanded 2020 Arkansas Rankings

Brian Walker
Arkansas State Director

A loaded class that sees the rankings expand to 160 players, the 2020 class is full of big time talent. As this class gets close to signing day, look for this to be a record breaking class in the state for division 1 commitments. We breakdown this class and take a look at several different players who are impacting all over the state.

2020 FULL RANKINGS

TOP 5:

#1 Cayden Wallace, 3B, Greenbrier HS, Arkansas Commit

Wallace stays strong at the top spot as one of the premier hitters in the country. His body continues to mature and one stand out besides the bat, is his ability to run for his physical frame. The Razorback commit continues to garner professional viewing and next year should be a busy one for Greenbrier holding all the professional scouts out to see him.

#2 Tink Hence, RHP, Watson Chapel HS, Arkansas Commit

Tink has showed stability to his fastball early on this season. Smaller framed, Hence has stayed strong with his fastball. Pitch ability continues to develop and as the season heats up, low to mid 90’s fastball shouldn't be a surprise.

#3 Nick Griffin, LHP, Monticello HS, Arkansas Commit

Electric LHP with stuff. Pitchability is still coming along, but Griffin has big time stuff and the frame, 6-Foot-4, to go with it. Big upside as Nick continues to get better.

#4 Cody Adcock, RHP, Arkansas HS, Ole Miss Commit

Long athletic frame starting to put up some velo in the low 90’s. Adcock has the frame to be a starter and the stuff to go with it. He continues to get better and make strides to be one of the top arms in the state.

#5 Houston King, OF, Cabot HS, Kentucky Commit

Off to a hot start this spring, Houston has continued to impress as he gets better each time we see him. Posting his best run tim at 6.3 twice in same event to prove his time, King has refined his stroke and has more contact than previous seasons. Along with the contact has been power. King will be one to keep tabs on as he continues to improve.
