Super 60 Spotlight: Austin Gage Wood

On Sunday, Feb. 6, Prep Baseball Report will host the 20th edition of its prestigious, flagship event: the Super 60 Pro Showcase. Since the event’s inception in 2003, more than 300 players have been selected in the MLB Draft, including 25 first-round picks and 26 second-rounders.
We've started our march toward the Super 60 by highlighting the prospects set to join us, shining a light on their impressive player profiles that they've groomed through their high school careers, leading them to this point, vying for the attention of the pro scouting community.

Austin Gage Wood: RHP/3B, (2022) Batesville, AR. Kansas State Commit, 6-foot-1, 195-pound. Above average on the mound, had a high ¾ arm angle and a long arm action with quick arm speed. Feel type pitcher and shows some effort. He has in line shoulders and an athletic balance point. Lands square with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 86-89 mph; showed command around the zone and deceiving action with straight movement. Had control low in the zone and swing and miss action on his 10/4 curveball (73-75). Has command low in the zone and some action on his straight changeup (78-79).
