Pre-Season All State Spotlight: 2020 C Michael Connor Flagg
February 11, 2019 Brian Walker Arkansas State Director
Scouting Report
2018 Futures Games:
6-Foot-1, 165 pound frame, Athletic body who can really run especially for a catcher posting a 6.84. Connor got hurt in game two so he saw his futures games come short but in his limited work he showed outstanding presence behind the plate and great feel for working with the staff that he barely knew. Left handed hitter with a line drive approach, Connor as he grows into his frame with strength will be a complete player who can even play the outfield if need be given the run tool. Connor showed well in limited game action and will be a player to watch in the future.
7-17-18: Underclass Games:
6-Foot-0, 165-Pound frame, athletic body with room to add strength, ran a 7.01, offensively, leg lift to hit, simple stride, open stance, clean land line with stride, liner hitter, slightly over rotate front knee to contact, leverage to contact, loft to swing, big extension, pull side power, 86 mph exit velo, defensively; slight turn to set up, clean transfer, slight runaway from arm, short stroke, quick release, legs outrun arm slightly, minimal backside drive, good carry to throw, 70 mph arm strength.
