The college baseball season has ended officially with Virginia winning the National Championship last night. It is official now that every college baseball program is in their second season of the year, recruiting season. I do my best to keep up with all of the commitments and other news, here is an update.

College

J. Paul Fullerton 2016 C Harding Academy
Fullerton committed to Harding University at the end of last week. He is coming off a good junior year where he hit .475 with 35 RBIs, 14 2Bs, and 3 HRs. He is a good defender throwing pop times consistently below a 2.0. As a left-handed hitting catcher he does a good job controlling the barrel and making consistent contact. He is the second player to attend Arkansas Top Prospects Games that has already committed.

Professionally

Gray Fenter 2015 RHP West Memphis HS
Fenter reached a contract agreement to play for the Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles selected him in the 7^th round with 225th pick. He was committed to play at Mississippi State. Fenter is a hard throwing right-hander with a fastball that can get as high as 97 mph and consistently pitches 92-95 mph. He compliments his fastball with a sharp slider that used to put away high school hitters. I look forward to watching his career as he moves forward to compete professionally.

John Boushelle 2015 RHP Fayetteville HS
Boushelle has come to terms with Los Angeles Dodgers and will be foregoing college to play professionally. He was committed to Kansas State. Boushelle is a projectable right hander, he is 6-foot-5 200-pounds with a large frame and an athletic build. He works with his fastball 86-89 mph. He has a good feel for his secondary stuff commanding his curveball and changeup for strikes. The Dodgers selected him in the 20^th round with 612^th pick.

Daniel Sprinkle and Andy Pagnozzi have not come to terms with the teams that selected them in the MLB draft at the beginning of the month. Pagnozzi is committed to Ole Miss, while Sprinkle is committed to Auburn.
