Keaton Mathis C / RHP / Valley View , AR / 2026

Mathis checks in as the number one ranked player in the class after a standout freshman campaign for Valley View.  Mathis has a short and simple stroke that allows him to control the barrel at a high level from the right side and is showing improved strength over the course of the past year.  The Razorbacks commit projects to be one of the top players in the region and will be a must follow in the future.

Marcus Bates SS / Benton, AR / 2026

Bates checks in at number 2 as he wraps up his freshman campaign.  The Arkansas commit has already strong defensive actions with range and above average arm strength that should allow him to play on the left side of the infield in the future.  Bates has strong balance at the plate and shows a controlled barrel that plays up at a high level and should continue to improve with the bat as he adds strength to his projectable frame.

Owen Davenport LHP / OF / Prairie Grove, AR / 2026

Even as a freshman, Davenport showed the ability to miss bats in a hurry with his low 80's fastball and feel for shaping two different breaking balls and a fading changeup.  The left-hander has a unique delivery with a high over the top slot and arms and legs coming after the hitter to make it difficult for them to time him up.  Look for Davenport to be a strong follow in the coming years as the lefty has one of the higher ceilings in the class.

Shaun Cover C / 3B / Conway, AR / 2026

Cover checks in at number 4 on this update as one of the top 2-way potential prospects in the state.  The Freshman had a strong run on varsity for Conway where they counted on both his arm as well as his bat down the stretch.  Offensively, he shows the ability to cover the entire plate and work the ball to both gaps with some strength at contact.  On the mound, he's working the fastball in the mid 80's with some life through the zone.  Where Cover will make his most impact in the future is unknown, but his potential on either side of the ball makes him an easy follow in the coming years.

Max Holland C / 2B / Conway, AR / 2026

Holland checks in at number 5 in this update as one of the top catch and throw back stops in the Natural State.  Holland has a quick transfer and clean release that have shown pop times as low as 1.98 to go along with smooth footwork and clean glove action in the infield.  Offensively, Holland swings with some leverage coming from his projectable 6-foot, 170-pound frame.

Cannon Driskill SS / 2B / Green County Tech, AR / 2026

The middle infielder from Green County Tech shows up in this update on number 6 on the list.  The rangy defender shows clean actions and above average arm strength for the class with quick exchanges out of the glove.  Offensively, he shows some feel for the barrel with strong overall bat speed.  With plenty of room to add strength to his lean 5-foot-10 and 155-pound frame, look for Driskill to be a prospect to keep an eye on in the coming years.

Jacob Murray MIF / RHP / Cabot, AR / 2026

The athletic middle infielder from Cabot ranks as the number 7 overall prospect in the state.  Murray has strong bat speed and with his lean and projectable frame, projects to have more power as he continues to add strength.  Defensively, there's a smoothness to his footwork and actions that are easy on the eyes and he shows a strong understanding of working routes to the ball.

Levi Martin RHP / 3B / Pocahontas, AR / 2026

Martin ranks as the number 8 overall prospect in the Natural State and one of the more projectable arms in the class.  He has shown the ability to work the fastball in the low to mid 80's with excellent command and showing a knack for missing bats in the zone.  The fastball shows strong arm side running action which pairs nicely with his short cutting slider working the other way.  Martin already does a good job of utilizing the lower half in the delivery and with added strength to his frame, big velocity jumps would not be surprising in the near future.

Beau Brock SS / 2B / Lakeside Hot Springs, AR / 2026

Brock checks in at number 9 on the updated list as one of the more toolsy players in the class.  Brock shows his athleticism with a sub 7 second 60 to go along with quick hands and strong overall bat speed at the plate.  He uses that to generate stronger contact than his frame would project giving him potential gap power.  Defensively he shows a strong arm with carry across the diamond giving him a future left side of the infield profile with arm strength.

Jake Taylor LHP / 1B / rogers, AR / 2026

Taylor makes his debut in the 2026 class rankings checking in at number 10 in this update after a strong spring on the mound for Rogers.  Taylor has a well-balanced delivery with smoothness down the slope and an strong feel for commanding the zone with the three pitch mix.  Right now the fastball is working in the low 80's but with added strength and easiness of the arm swing, it would not be shocking to see that number jump rather quickly in the near future.
