The 2017 class is a very talented class with several players already making commitments to different schools across the mid-south. Today we look at the top 5 players still available in that class.

Paxton Wallace 2017, CIF/RHP Greenbrier HS
Wallace is a 6-foot 200-pound with a large frame and a physical build.  Offensively he starts from an athletic stance, he transitions with a smooth load. Once he gets loaded he attacks the baseball with fast bat speed, with a slight uphill bat path. He does a good job maintain balance through extension. Wallace has advanced bat speed and strength generating exit velocity up to 96 mph. Defensively he does a sound job at first base with some stiffness to his actions. He runs a 7.13 in the 60.  Prior to his sophomore season Wallace was impressive on the mound pitching with a fastball down in the strike zone 82-85 mph up to 86 mph. He complimented that with a curveball and changeup with fastball arm speed. Overall Wallace is a physical athlete with raw power and is intriguing to follow as he gets back on the mound this fall.

Pierce Mitchum, 2017 OF, Heber Springs HS
Mitchum is a 5-foot-9 160-pound outfielder with a medium frame and physical build. He played through the baseball with a fluid exchange and an accurate arm. He registered up to 83 mph throwing from the outfield. Offensively he has a short lined drive swing with fast bat speed. He produced exit velocity up to 89 mph. Mitchum is a premium athlete running a 6.59 and the 60. As he continues to develop Mithcum should turn into one of the better prospects in the 2017.

Logan Easley, 2017, MIF, Heritage HS
Logan Easley, is a 6-foot, 155-pound RHP/INF with a medium frame and an athletic frame. He works from a high 3/4 arm slot with a fast clean arm. His delivery is fluid but lacks extension to finish the pitch. His fastball is 84-86 mph with arm-side run that he can locate down in the zone.. His secondary pitches are above average for a 2017 player. He throws a sharp 12/6 curveball at 66-68mph and a changeup with late sink at 76 mph. Easley runs a 7.16 in the 60 and throws 80 mph across the infield. He has plays through the ball defensively and has a quick exchange. Offensively  he starts from a slightly open stance with a smooth load. He has fast bat speed generating exit velocity of 86 mph, with a short compact swing with a slight up hill swing plane. Easley does a good job maintaining balance through extension. He is going to be a player to watch over the three season of high school baseball with several above average tools.

Adrian Hannah, 2017, CIF  Searcy HS
Hannah is a 6-foot-2 200-pound corner infielder with a large frame and physical build. He was the most polished left-handed hitter in the games. His uphill bat path with fast bat speed produces exit velocity up to 88 mph. He repeats his swing maintaining rhythm and balance throughout. Defensively he has some stiffness to his hands and foot work but performed well during games. He has an accurate arm with a fluid exchange. Overall Hannah is a polished hitter, as he develops athletically he will improve defensively and should develop into a quality collegiate player.

 Cameron Tissue 2017 MIF Catholic HS
Tissue is a 5-foot-11, 160- pound infielder with an athletic frame and build. Defensively he has smooth footwork as he plays through the baseball with soft hands. He has a quick exchange and a loose accurate arm. He throws the ball 80 mph the infield. Offensively he starts from a tall stance with a smooth load. He works off a stiff front side driving his hips through the baseball. He has a line drive swing that allows him to spray the ball to all fields. Overall Tissue is a polished player, as he add strength he will be an impressive collegiate player.
