TOP 3
Charlie Carter C / 1B / Little Rock Christian, AR / 2023Rankings StateRank: 1 / POS: 1
The Oklahoma State commit checks in as the top ranked player in the 2023 Class in the Natural State. The big and physical catcher has shown the ability to catch at a high level with strong receiving skills as well as showing good carry on accurate throws. What makes him stand out is his ability to drive the ball with power all over the field and with his larger frame still shows sign of more in the tank.

Waid is able to generate a ton of power using his simple mechanics and easy rhythm and shows the type of barrel control it takes to compete at the next level. Waid is also an underrated athlete that moves well for his size and should continue to see jumps as continues to add strength.

Martavius Thomas CF / SS / Camden Fairview , AR / 2023Rankings StateRank: 3 / POS: 1
The utility-man Razorback commit Martavius Thomas checks in as the number three overall ranked player in the State thanks to his elite athleticism. TOP UNCOMMITTED
Hutson Guinn 3B / 1B / Greene County Tech, AR / 2023Rankings StateRank: 7 / POS: 3
Guinn ranks as the highest remaining uncommitted prospect in the State after recently opening back up to the recruiting process. Guinn shouldn't remain that way for long as he has shown the ability to drive the ball with gap power with his quick twitch swing as well as showing some strength in the lower half.
|
Nate Gross LHP / OF / Little Rock Christian, AR / 2023Rankings StateRank: 15 / POS: 2
Gross checks in as the top remaining pitcher left on the board in the 2023 class and with his left arm and 90 mph heat he has reached in the past should be a guy on everyone's radar. Gross has a very loose arm action with a clean delivery that continue to deliver more velocity and tighter stuff in the future as he continues to add strength to his lean frame.
|
Drew Grumbles RHP / OF / Episcopal Collegiate, AR / 2023Rankings StateRank: 19 / POS: 4
Grumbles ranks as the third highest remaining uncommitted prospect in Arkansas and continues to show promise on the mound coming out of his athletic 6-foot and 180-pound frame. Grumbles shows a quick arm action with good hand speed which should translate to more velocity in the future and is already reaching the mid to upper 80's with the fastball. |
TOP RANKINGS RISERS
Jake Jones RHP / C / Benton, AR / 2023Rankings StateRank: 6 / POS: 1
Jones sees his stock rise to number 6 overall in the State after a monster spring for Benton both on the mound and at the plate. The Central Arkansas commit shows the ability to miss bats racking up strikeouts in a hurry thanks to his driving fastball through the zone and feel for spinning a mid 70's curveball. |
Ty Durham OF / SS / Bentonville West, AR / 2023Rankings StateRank: 12 / POS: 2
Durham also sees a rise in the rankings landing at number 12 overall in the state. The Southern Miss commit is one of the fastest players in the country featuring a 60 time in the low 6.3's and marrying that with some physicality and hand strength at the plate. Durham has the ability to be an impact player at the next level immediately.
|
Maddox Morrison OF / 2B / Jonesboro, AR / 2023Rankings StateRank: 17 / POS: 4
Morrison sees his stock take a jump to number 17 in the rankings after another strong spring for Jonesboro. The Crowder Junior College commit always seems to be on balance at the point and has shown top of the order type skills with the bat in his hand.
