2018 LHP Kaleb Hill committed to Ole Miss on Monday night. The 6-foot-4 left-hander is the No. 4 ranked player in PBR Arkansas 2018 rankings and is ranked 109th nationally.
The junior from Watson Chapel High School was one of two players from Arkansas to compete in the Futures Games in early August. The event feature the top uncommitted underclassman in the PBR coverage area. Below you will find his complete write up from that event. The other player from Arkansas was 2018 C Andrew Stanley who committed to Arkansas earlier in the month.
Kaleb Hill LHP Watson Chapel HS
Hill is a 6-foot-4 170-pound left-hander with a large frame and a lanky build. He uses a quick loose arm from an H ¾ arm slot. He uses a simple tall/fall delivery that is repeated. He has inconsistent rhythm, breaking his hands inconsistently. When he is on time he commands the strike efficiently. His fastball worked 86-87 mph up to 89 mph with slight downward action. His secondary pitch is a 70-71 mph 1/7 curveball ball thrown with fastball arm speed. Overall Hill’s loose arm and projectable frame, make him an intriguing prospect over the next two years.
